An amazing experience that I would absolutely recommend. We went at 7:30pm, which meant that we had the chance that we could still see Venus. Our guide Gabriel explained the different phenomena very clearly, and always helped us identifying them in the telescope. Plus, since the observatory is right in the historic center and the visit is only an hour, we didn't have to plan much travel time to fit this in our day.
We visited the Observatorio y Planetario Stellarium in Arequipa, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Ruth, was wonderful—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about astronomy. She shared fascinating insights about the stars and planets we observed directly through the telescopes, making the night both educational and inspiring. The combination of the planetarium and the telescope observations made for a truly memorable evening. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Arequipa, whether you’re an astronomy enthusiast or simply looking for something unique and unforgettable.
