Din tur starter med et besøg i Thousand Island Lake, som ligger i den sydlige del af Shiding District, New Taipei City. Oplandet til Feitsui Reservoir omgivet af bakker skaber det unikke landskab - en sø med tusindvis af øer, som deler samme navn med "Qiandao-søen" (bogstaveligt talt tusind ø-søen) i Kina på grund af ligheden mellem de to.
Det naturlige terræn og klimaet gør det omkringliggende område af Feitsui Reservoir til et ideelt landbrugsland til tedyrkning, herunder Wenshan Baozhong-te og Dong Fang Mei Ren-te. Bagua Tea Plantation ligger også i dette område. Fra toppen af bakken ligner de pænt plantede rækker te ligesom symbolerne på otte trigrammer, deraf navnet. Du vil gøre et stop her og nyde den fantastiske udsigt over de endeløse rækker af teplanter midt i de bølgende bakker omkring dig.
Din tur fortsætter med et besøg på Pinglin Tea Museum, en Hokkien-stil Siheyuan (firkantet gårdhavehus) type bygning, der karakteriserer Taiwans traditionelle bolig. Museet har en rigelig samling af traditionelle høstværktøjer og udstyr, tesæt, teprøver og mange flere, som du vil lære om historien og udviklingen af Taiwans teindustri. Derudover tilbyder AR-indholdet fordybende oplevelser, som du kan interagere med udstillingerne og få en bedre forståelse af verden af taiwansk te.
Da du er i Pinglin, vil du selvfølgelig ikke gå glip af muligheden for at smage den autentiske taiwanske te i en lokal tebutik. Ejeren af tebutikken vil give en introduktion til taiwansk te og vise dig, hvordan du korrekt brygger teen for at få smagen af tebladene frem. Du vil også have mulighed for at smage forskellige teprøver.

Grace was a fantastic tour guide and her English skills impressive. She provided a lot of information and was able to answer any questions I had. The entire tour was great and it was lovely to get out of the city for a while and enjoy some nature. The tea tasting was great and the gentleman conducting it was a lot of fun. I highly recommend!

Awesome tour, quick chance to see a bit of the outskirts and hills around Taipei in an afternoon. If you’re short on time, but you want to see some nature this one is decent. Sharon the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

We got soaking wet in a downpour which added to the fun. The lakes area is beautiful and the tea drinking was enlightening, and delicious.

Molly was a great guide to a relaxing tour of Thousand Island Lake, tea fields nearby, a visit to the Pinglin Tea museum, & a tea tasting session at a tea shop run by two brothers in their 70’s. It was wonderful to leave the crowds of Taipei for a few hours & enjoy the scenery in a lush & mountainous rural area. Molly guided the group through much of the tea museum & then gave us some time to explore on our own. Learning how to prepare & tasting three types of local tea was enjoyable too.

We had a fantastic tea tour today. Our guide David was so knowledgeable and friendly explaining about the area, tea culture and the history. He explained lots of things for us on the way too and from the area as well. The tour gave us a great introduction to the Thousand Island Lake area and Taiwanese Tea. The museum was very informative and our guide did a great job of leading us through it. The tea tasting was a wonderful experience- learning about the ritual and background of tea growing - it was fun and great to meet a family who have been involved in the tea business for generations.

This is a bus tour out to Pinglin with stops to view the mountainside tea plantations. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made for a very positive experience. The mountainside stops are outstanding and the tea presentation was educational and tasty. Definitely worth the price for an evening tour.

We drove through the mountains and saw the tea terraces with mountains and a winding river as the backdrop. We learned about the leaf hopper insect that makes the tea sweeter and guarantees that no pesticides can be used. The tea museum was very interesting, and there is a nesting area for egrets and other interstellar birds near the museum. Then we had an amazing experience learning to enjoy tea with a tea master. Grace was a great tour guide!

This is a very unique experience and one I would recommend. David, our guide, was informative and helpful.
Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys tea or just wants to get out of the city to see some beautiful scenery. Christina was a fantastic tour guide who provided a helpful overview of local history and culture, and Mr. Xi was a very safe and efficient driver. The tasting with the tea master was a particular highlight.
