Den oprindelige Knysna Township Tour startede for 26 år siden for at gavne det større samfund. Vi støtter førskolerne, og jeres deltagelse er meget nødvendig og meget værdsat. Sammen skaber vi forandring, fremmer uddannelse og giver støtte til vores folk i Townships. Kom Walk i gaderne, chatte med de lokale, besøge creche, cobbler, frisør og slagter med din lokale guide, se Sangoma og besøge inde i en Real RDP hus. ● Nogle steder er muligvis ikke tilgængelige i weekender eller i weekender ● Du er velkommen til at støtte skolen med forsyninger, tøj eller mad donationer. Denne oplevelse giver en unik mulighed for at fordybe dig i den kultur og livsstil af Township folk i Sydafrika, især Xhosa folk. Du vil blive guidet gennem en afrikansk by, gå langs støvede veje og møde lokale for at lære om deres traditioner, overbevisninger, religion og historie. Højdepunkter inkluderer at møde en Sangoma (traditionel healer) og muligvis prøve Xhosa øl og urtemidler, besøge en crèche (barn center), og interagere med børnene, der kan serenade dig med sange. A great way to see the local township whilst getting educated, contributing to the local economy & feeling safe! Such an eye opener & so worthwhile. Loved our local guide. Perhaps identify the meet up place is the fuel station as we walked round in circles to start with!
Superb tour with a very personal touch. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging and gave us a real taste of South Africa
Having been into Soweto with a guide it was a much nicer experience to see what the people of a township can do with support from the government. Our guide, a local, showed us some great views of Knysna and talked about life in the township, how people get to own the houses etc. He fed the local dogs who were really friendly, took us to the local store and round the newly built "shopping centre"(great to see investment into the township). We went to the kindergarten and the children were so lovely, very polite, very friendly wanting to high five, have hugs, sing and dance and show off what they had learnt. They were so inquisitive about camera, watches etc and we had a good chat with the teacher even though she was on her own that day. Then off to one of the safe houses for a cup of tea, some Xhosa singing and trying some phrases and playing drums. And finally a quick stop at the guides house on route back to town. Don't worry about being a tourist going to look at the people in a township. Your tour money goes to support the community and the people know and appreciate that.
Great Trip beyond the scenes into one of the townships. A lot of Information was provided by our Guide in good spoken English. It was amazing for us as parents and also for our children. We arrived very Late at the meeting point, but the Guide was relaxed. We visited a kindergarden die to time restrictions. We absolutely recommend this tour.
We were picked up neatly on time and guided through the township. A visit to a traditional medicine woman was included. Special encounter. Also visited a kindergarten. The children sang to us at the top of their lungs. Very touching. The guide lives in the township himself and could therefore tell all about it and no question was too crazy. Really very educational and definitely recommended!
This tour will offer you an understanding of how a township operates. It was wonderful to meet some of the people that live and work there.

What a great guide this was, very flexible and knew many interesting things to tell. Had experience, acquaintances could convey it! The meetings we had thanks to him were gold. Constantly feeling free and safe too.

Your local guide will take you in this truly unique peaceful african township..walk down the little dust road..meet the people to be heaked.. it was fantastic lifestyle of Ama Xhosa..that will chance your life styles... such as. Custom. Belief. Religion .tradition and educational..and you will also visit the Creche ( weekdays) you will interact with children there and being get treated..also visit the Sanlam Center with all the shop and try out some vetkoek . We had a great Guide (Syd) who introduced us to the township and its Community , Telling us about the professions of the people and Their own businesses. The children at the Kindergarten were lovely and excited to See us. It is a nice gesture if you bring some chips or pastry but the Guide will also assist you in buying the sufficient amount and make a Good selection the kids Like. There is a Great feeling of Hope and happiness the children express , which was nice to See. For lunch we were taken to a small restaurant , with a spectacular view owned by a trained Chef, who cooked a delicious lunch !! We wish all the best to the Community and Hope to come back.
