Overall this is a recommended tour, we booked with Prague Bus Tours. I have knocked off a couple of marks because there was hotel pick up and they never told us what time so we had missed breakfast because they came at 8.15am when paperwork said 9.00am, we then sat on the bus for half an hour at Prague Station waiting for another bus. The buses were small and very comfortable, Vera the guide was multi lingual and very knowledgeable and interesting, the guide at Terezin was good also, definitely a place to visit, shocking what happened. The tour and museums ended at about 2pm, there had only been a couple of vending machines for snacks and drinks so we were all very hungry. Even though the bus picked us up at the hotel they only drop back off at Prague Station and BEWARE if you decide to use the metro, see my review on Prague metro or it could cost you, get an uber back to your hotel!
Book online and go to the meeting point on the day. Still a bit exciting if anyone is standing. Happy was That and a little bus. The bus was almost full and after we all got a bottle of water we drove an hour to the camp. Immediately the guide starts talking about the buildings on the bus and soon about WWII. Arriving at the camp watched a video and then from another guide a tour of one hour. By van to the former ghetto. Visited a synagogue and space that is decorated as then. Impressive, all of them. Then another hour back to Prague. I thought it was definitely worth the money. The guide tells a hundred out. The guide in the camp was sometimes difficult to follow in her English. Thanks for the tour.
Went to meeting point and waited. No one there. Another person waiting called company. Apparently guide was ill and trip fid not happen.
Cancellation the day before at 10:30 pm, while guests are asked to cancel 24 hours in advance in case of impediment. Unable to book another date before the end of the stay, we are very disappointed by the way of doing this airline
An amazing day the guide who picked us up was very informative about Prague. Mareken our guide was amazing he gave us loads of facts about the concentration camp and what those poor people endured. We next visited the crematorium where thousands of Jews had been cremated. We visited inside and could see where the bodies had post mortems, embalmed and burned. We then visited the museum this is well worth a visit. There is a 15 minutes showing of the concentration camp and what went on.
It was educational but I was expecting to be able to enter the small fort where the actual jail part of terezin is. We had taken this tour before and that was the very best part. This time we brought my sister to enjoy the same experience with her, but weren’t able to go to the small fort, which in my option is the best part of the tour. Had they not advertised it as still being a part of the tour, I would not have been disappointed. But we paid for it thinking it would be as advertised (that we would get to see the small fort). So unfortunately I feel we were overcharged for the experience we had.
Do not book with this company. Discover Prague Tour cancel my reservation the same day of my tour. The day before they sent me a message confirming my tour and the next day, they cancel. I missed a great opportunity and I didn't have more days in Prague. I might never got a chance to go back to Prague. DONT USE THEM
This was a great tour! Ilya was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable about the town and the history behind it. He also made sure we got to see a lot without leaving anyone behind! Would highly recommend!
The thing I enjoyed most was definitely how “easy going” it was. It didn't feel like you went there and someone poured a bucket filled with facts over you. The tour guide made it more into a experience than a history lesson.
We have been to Prague, Czech Republic many times but this was the 1st time we had the opportunity to visiting Terezín Concentration Camp. It was a very interesting place but of course is a very sad reminder of the cruel past!
