We were met by our guide gui . He was extremely knowledgeable and very interesting. We booked optional lunch at o choi a traditional azorian meal which was not only delicious but very filling. We took in all the main sights of the island including algar do carvao one of the few vertical lava chimneys in the world. Do not miss this trip
Ma family of 4 (2 parents and 2 young adults) visited the Azores on a 2-week trip that involved 5 islands (Terceira, Pico, Faial, Sao Jorge, and San Miguel), and on each island we took at least one private tour. The short version is that our tour with Gui was the VERY best tour we took on any of the islands! From the very first contact to right before our trip, he was very detailed and responsive and helpful. He planned our day for exactly what we wanted to do, was really flexible and friendly, had lots of great info about the island's history and culture, and most of all, was just a ton of fun to be around. It turns out that Austin, Texas (where we are from) is number one on his bucket list to visit, and he actually knew more about our city (even though we've lived here for over 30 years!) than we did! We had so much fun talking about all of the different kinds of foods we all like (he makes BBQ as a side hustle and his instagram page is amazing). Bottom line: Gui's English is impeccable, he is very smart and easy to talk to, and he know so much about the US and pop culture in addition to so much about his home island. He is sure to entertain your teens as well. Definitely reserve him early because he'll get booked up and you'll miss out. Gui is the BESt tour guide in the Azores, hands down!

Flavio was our guide for the full day tour. He is a native to the Azores so he had a lot of info to share. We had lunch at Restaurant Beira Mar, Sao Mateus and it was delicious. Flavio is also a musician! Check him out on Spotify….CRISTOVAM.

This was a wonderful tour. Antonio was a kind and knowledgeable guide. We saw most of the island in one day without feeling rushed. This tour is worth every penny if not more. Would highly recommend it!

A tour is only as good as its guide. Luckily for those booking this tour GUI is as good as they come. By the end of the trip we not only learned a lot about Terceira, ate delicious local food, saw stunning views but we left feeling as though we had made a friend for life.

We visited Terceira in Sept. 2019. There were 5 cousins visiting the island of our grandparents birth. We booked a full day private tour with Gui. Nothing I could say about this tour would do it justice. It was simply and outstanding day with a wonderful guide who knew and loved his island. Gui took us to the birth towns of our grand parents, he took us to a wonderful restaurant for a fabulous meal. We also went to a cheese factory to sample the excellent cheeses made locally. Everything we asked of him, he provided. He knew how important it was for us. If you want to have a fun day, filled with interesting facts this is the ONLY tour you should book. Gui, thank you once again for fulfilling a dream come true for my cousins and myself. May God Bless you Always!

Our tour guide Gee was absolutely awesome! He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He spoke both Portuguese and English which was extremely helpful for our family as one spoke only English. He took us to some of the most amazing places all over the island and had no problem stopping at our request to visit family or other sentimental areas. I would book this tour every time I visited the island. He truly made this vacation very special for each and every one of us.
It really was my pleasure! I was amazed by all the love you guys got from the locals you haven't seen for the past 40 years and to be honest there's no other way I'd like to spend my day than seeing you guys having the time of your life around. I had a layover in Terceira and figured it would be the perfect opportunity to see the island and not be confined to the airport. My intuition led me to Angratravel tours. I booked a private half day tour and was greeted by Gui at the airport. He was friendly, kind and very informative. As a single female in a different country I felt safe and at ease at all times. The locations I visited were all stunning, I would have to say Serra do Cume was my fav. The peace and tranquility you will feel up there is something else. We made a half-day tour with Angra Travel. William picked us up at the Lages airport and left us at our hotel in Angra. Punctual, available and attentive, we provided excellent Service We could get to know a bit of the city of Praia da Vitória and the main sights of the island of Terceira. We were very pleased with this tour.
