Our activity tour Rubén was excellent! He was born and raised in Teotihuacán and shared all his knowledge of this area. The pyramids and the history surrounding them is amazing to experience

The tour itself was ok but not great. Our guide did not have adequate fluency with English. The information relayed during the tour was ok. However we overheard other guides providing far more colour and context. One thing to be aware of: The guide and maybe the tour operator has a hustle going in with a vendor of artifacts on the Teotihuacan grounds. We were slightly pressured to buy when we got to the vendor. When I asked if we could return after visiting pyramid of the sun, our guide that we wouldn’t be returning that way for the exit. This was a complete lie. I don’t appreciate a hustle and I really hate dishonesty from someone to whom we’ve paid a lot of money for a specific purpose. This tour does not have many reviews so probably best to look elsewhere. Money down the drain but more importantly a tour that was somewhat disappointing relative to what we might have received with another tour company.

A wonderful experience. We had visited the archaeological site but realized we knew nothing. Ruben was our host and guide. His attention, knowledge, passion for his work and Service were excellent. It adapted to everyone’s pace and we fulfilled the full itinerary. We recommend it 100%. Ask for Reuben. On arrival a breakfast in the restaurant highly recommended to start the day.

Easy to meet up, nice walking tour, and tons to learn from a guide who is from this region and clearly loved his heritage and history. We learned so much. This is a must see and learn if you come to Mexico City.

His knowledge and passion for his homeland exude with each step and minute. You will leave with a deeper understanding of Mayan life and the geopolitical history of the region.

In November we asked the concierge of our hotel for a driver/guide. An über taxi is also fine. You can determine your own time. We agreed on a price of mx$3500 Entrance costs $90 pp. Continue to Luna Pyramid, there is easy parking, less busy. With Google Maps the layout is very simple. Ignore all Mexicans along the road. You decide. Think about lunch because the restaurants are NOT within walking distance. So need a taxi. We brought our guide with us and considered lunch as a tip. Our lunch was in the cave: La Gruta. In November it was not busy but I think booking in advance is advisable. Food excellent quality, price slightly above average but you get a fantastic experience! Don't forget to bring a hat against the sun because it is hot.

It was great getting a private tour for our group of four. Ruben was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said he had been giving tours of the pyramids for 8 years, and was a history and English teacher in town prior to that. We ubered from Mexico City (which took a little less than an hour) and met him at a cafe near the pyramids at 8 am. The tour itself was about 2.5 hours long. Highly recommend this tour for small groups, it’s a great way to experience the pyramids and Ruben is fantastic!
