Amazing experience with our local guide, Al!!! Highly recommend. Just make sure to eat a light breakfast as suggested so you can fully enjoy all of the delicious food 😊
We enjoyed this tour because it allowed us to see a different part of PV. Joana was a great guide. She was accommodating and not only provided an explanation at every stop on the tour but along the walk as well. She had a great sense of humour as well. We also enjoyed meeting and getting to know a little about our fellow foodie. Our one gripe was the unusual start to the tour being the churro stand. It was an odd choice to start because it was a sweet taste. We thought that a savoury stop would have been better. And, we both found that our churros were browned too much but raw in the middle.
Our tour (food) guide Joana was awesome. She is such a wonderful person. Our tour consisted of my wife and I and we ate at about 7-8 places. Each one was sooooo good and the restaurant staff was inviting. We have now done this tour four times and each time we try several new restaurants and food items. Would definitely do this same tour again.
Thank you for your continued support! It means so much to hear that you've joined us four times and continue to discover new restaurants and flavors on each visit. We're especially happy that Joana made your Pitillal experience so memorable with her warmth and hospitality. We truly appreciate your loyalty and look forward to welcoming you and your wife back for tour number five! Saludos, Paul M.
We really enjoyed this tour. Miel was fantastic.
Outstanding food tour of the non-touristy Pitillal area of Puerto Vallarta. Joana was an excellent guide and the food from fresh churros, to tacos, to ceviche to homemade tamales, to homemade popsicles was delicious. Highly recommend this tour.
Great experience and Joanna was amazing
Joanna was fantastic, guiding our group to explore some authentic food spots in Puerto Vallarta. The connections to historic and delicious restaurants made the tour super enjoyable and easy for us!
What a great tour! Starting with fresh Churros made by a long time street vendor and ending with a popsicle. Our guide Joanna was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the food, the people and the town, sharing lots of Pitillal's history with us. Highly recommend and we will be back to enjoy more tours. As previously stated, go hungry!!!
We had a most interesting food tour, eating our way through 7 stops in the neighborhood of Pitillal. We were full by the end, not only of tasty food, but of interesting stories told by our congenial guide, who lives locally.
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time with Al, our tour guide, during this food tour. Al was very knowledgeable and friendly and the food we tried at every stop was so delicious. We were completely stuffed by the end of it. I’d definitely recommend this food tour to anyone who wants to taste authentic Mexican food.
