Først og fremmest stopper vi ved udsigtspunktet lige over Isola Bella, kaldet Belvedere, med en betagende udsigt. Det er det ideelle sted at beundre og tage billeder af kysten og den fantastiske Isola Bella.
Mens vores rejse fortsætter, kører vi til den charmerende middelalderlandsby Castelmola. Denne søvnige by ligger usikkert over Taormina. En spadseretur rundt er et must, med sine kølige middelalderlige gyder og maleriske piazza med udsigt over hele landskabet, Etna-bjerget og den ioniske kystlinje.
Vi holder et stop ved den berømte Bar Turrisi. Denne pub, der ligger på en høj bakketop nær Taormina, fremstår meget flot udefra, med sine mange altaner og røde parasoller, der rækker op mod himlen. We had a wonderful day in Tamina with our guide Eduardo who could not have been better. He met us at the cruise port in beautiful car and gave us an excellent tour with lots of information and anecdotes. We visited Giardini Naxos, castelmola where Eduardo introduced us to the excellent masala wine and then on to Taormina. The day could not have been better!

Leonardo & Eduardo were our drivers and they were great ! We ended up doing an adjusted version of this private tour, as half our group wanted to check out a nearby beach instead of Castelmola. We worked with them to figure out an itinerary that would work and they were very accommodating. If you’re thinking about whether to book a private tour or do it by yourself, definitely worth the money to book this tour ! We didn’t have to worry about the logistics or how to get from one place to another.

Eduardo was amazing. He picked us up exactly on time and exactly where the email said to meet him. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided insight into local sights. When first contacting Excursions Sicily Irina, immediately replied with information that we had requested and was very helpful and flexible in order to meet our needs. We ended up booking our tour with this company due to her professionalism and her flexibility and truely listen to our requests. Each and every time we contacted Irina she replied within 24 hours and addressed any concerns. Our driver and guide was Eduardo, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, outgoing and fun which in turn made our experience more than we expected. We had Private transfers from and to Palermo airport, tour to Agrigento (Valley of the Temples) & Archeological Museum of Agrigento & Scala dei Turchi, tour to Cefalù and Castelbuono, and a tour to Taormina and Mount Etna (Teatro Antico, Corso Umberto l, Villa Comunale, Piazza IX Aprile, Isola Bella) over a 5 day period. Antonio was amazing. He took such good care of my family and I. He was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and gave us great information.
