We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our private four-hour custom tour of Taipei! From the moment we met out tour guide, Alice, it felt less like a guided tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable, fun, and engaging friend. Her English is excellent, making communication effortless, and her extensive knowledge as a Taipei local allowed us to experience not only the major sights, but also hidden gems and local treasures that we never would have discovered on our own. What truly set this tour apart was Alice’s ability to bring the city to life through its culture and history. She provided fascinating context and stories at every stop, and she patiently answered what felt like my husband’s million questions with patience and expertise. Beyond the tour itself, she also shared fantastic recommendations for restaurants, neighborhoods, and other places to explore during the rest of our stay. If you’re looking for an authentic, personalized, and memorable introduction to Taipei, we cannot recommend this tour (and specifically our guide Alice) highly enough. It’s a long walking tour. We did 10k in three hours. Walked around markets, saw buildings, tea, temples

Such a fun and memorable day exploring different areas of Taipei. Alice customized our tour based on our interests and requests. She confirmed the itinerary in advance so it could adjusted if need and was flexible the entire day. Our group of nine loved the tour from start to finish, and learned a lot more of Taipei than if we had done it on our own. Thank you Alice.

I'm going to be honest and say exactly how we felt: the tour was not at all worth it. It felt like we paid someone to hang out with us instead of getting a tour. After discussing itinerary and interests in advance, our guide met us at the hotel. We then traveled 35 mins to our first destination: Taipei 101. It would have been much more efficient to meet us there. She didn't join us at the top of the building so we didn't get any explanations. It was also extremely foggy (see photo) so we didn't see much. I would have expected her to recommend we not go given the weather. She then asked if we wanted to spend time shopping at a mall that featured ultra luxury western brands - a slightly strange suggestion given I told her our interest ahead of time (and it didn't include this) and the fact that these shops exist in London where we live. She then took us to Din Tai Fung for lunch, where we waited for 25-35 mins for a table. We then walked to our second destination (20 - 25 mins) and upon arrival she recommended we not actually go up the mountain due to weather. It would have been much better and efficient not to walk there given the weather (the weather didn't change on our way). We then transited to a shopping street, where she showed us a lovely tea shop. This was the best part of the day. We then walked to the CKS Memorial (30 mins) and ended the tour there. We spent way too much time in transit and at lunch. I would have expected her to plan destinations more strategically to minimise travel time and provide better consideration of the weather. I also found her knowledge of certain buildings etc to be less comprehensive. Although she was very pleasant, it was not a useful or informative your. Felt like it wasn't worth the money. I didn't learn much about Taiwan that I didn't already know.

David was very friendly and explained everything in detail about the culture and the city. He went out of the way to make me and my wife see hidden gems which was not in the walking tour. Overall it was fun and we are glad we took this tour!
