Surfundervisning i Algarve

The surfing lessons were amazing. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time and Duarte's instructions allowed us to catch numerous waves and pick up on techniques quickly. The instructor was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Truly an excellent surf lesson experience. Thanks to Duarte's coaching, we were able to successfully surf early in our lesson! Loved the focus on making sure we had the technique to continue to improve in surfing beyond this lesson. The beach was stunning, and transportation quite convenient. Couldn't recommend enough.

It is not as described on the site. I requested a private lesson, it was a group lesson only. It said 8 people for 2 instructors, there were 10 of us and one instructor. It was a long time before the course started on the beach because there were people who were on their 3rd day and whom he had to coach. Apart from that, the water sessions are good, we have a lot of practice time and the instructor helps us go one by one. Perfect for transport and equipment too. There is a bit of a lack of feedback to be able to improve. Small downside, the guide talks and talks (whining) and talks a lot...in fact all the time, about other surf schools, about society, problems, etc. So if you are in relax and vacation mode it can become irritating!!

Neptunos is a surf school with the emphasis on teaching. If you want to learn to surf with a view to taking up surfing as your main sport or pastime, this is a good place to start. However, if you and your family would like to try surfing for a bit of fun, you may want to try a different school as Neptunos is quite strict and inflexible. Also important to note, no drinks or snacks provided so take your own and the cafe at the beach only accepts cash - no cards.

Because you go with a small group, you get a lot of attention. If you really want to learn to surf, you have to go to Duarte. In addition, good communication about pickup point and right on time everywhere.

Perfect experience for beginners to learn how to surf. Beach on the west coast is huge and not busy at all. Waves are constant and perfect size. Coach is very experienced and know how to explain everything the right way. By the end of the lesson we were all able to catch waves and had a lot of fun doing it. Definitely would recommend for everyone to try!

Duarte ist a very good and patient surf instructor. We only were 4 persons in our group, so it was enough time to give everyone feedback.

Duarte gives excellent and personalised lessons for those who are serious about learning the ropes. If you intend to take on surfing in the future, Duarte's school is the way to go. Small classes, catered lessons, and an overall unique experience VS. Larger schools

Had a great day with Duarte. Was picked up and taken to Prai De Bordeira where the Atlantic meets the West Coast. A stunning location. Duarte gave us the first part of our lesson on the beach. Before long we were in the water and riding our first waves. He was in the ocean with us and sending us on our way with the best waves. Duarte is truly passionate and an awesome coach and I can’t recommend him and his surf school enough. 5 stars
