Surf lektion i Tamarindo - Stand Up eller dine penge tilbage!

We were really impressed with this experience start to finish! The host contacted us via text two days prior with instructions and asked if we had any questions. Carlos was ready for us when we got there. He was really thorough with instructions. My kids are 8, 10 and 12 and they felt a little lost at the beginning but once we got on boards in the sand they learned quickly. Carlos wanted to be sure we all had a good time and grabbed three additional instructors for our group. He assigned one to our 8yo son and one for my 10 and 12yo, and one for my husband and I. I loved that my kids had one on one help and attention for safety. My 8yo got up on his board before the rest of us even got out to the water!!!! His instructor was so patient and good with him, and he even had him jumping to turn positions on top of the board!! We all got up on the boards several times. We got a good hour of board time. Carlos stayed on shore and took tons of photos for us with a telephoto lens. We paid extra for the photos but it wasn’t a big deal because the cost of surfing for five of us was so affordable. Start to finish everyone was so hospitable, professional and kind. We absolutely loved this excursion and highly recommend!!!!

Carlos was an amazing teacher and looked out for everyone in his group. A true coach, he was constantly scanning for safety and better technique in all the students. He took his time and made sure those that were not quite as quick to get the form to slow down, make them feel like they were getting a true 1:1 experience. And good vibes!

Communication ahead of time was clear and helpful. Instruction and support during the actual lesson was perfect. Instructors were so positive. Would 1000% use them again!

Our family of five wanted to try surfing lessons during our visit to Costa Rica and we were excited to try La Muda! It was easy to find from our drive from Playa Conchal, the directions on the trip advisor page were perfect. There is parking onsite for $6. Carlos was a patient instructor, explaining everything to us first timers multiple times on shore before getting into the water. We each were assigned basically a private instructor once we got in the water to tell us when to stand up and provide feedback. Our kids, ages 12, 12 and 9 picked it up immediately and had a blast. I struggled more to stand up but my instructor, Caleb, was incredibly encouraging and patient. When I finally got up, it was a celebration! Carlos was onshore capturing fantastic pictures of our family. Overall, we had a great experience and would 100% do this again with La Muda if we’re ever back in Tamarindo! Thank you to Carlos, Caleb, Isabella and everyone who made our morning so fun and memorable!

Carlos at La Muda was recommended to us by a local. I found the business phone number and was able to easily book directly with them the night before. The instructions on where and when to meet were easy to follow. Carlos did an excellent job coaching us on the land, and then sent us out to the water with competent instructors. Four out of five of us got up on the board within a few tries and it was no fault of the instructors that the fifth one struggled some. Would highly recommend this school and if we are ever back in Tamarindo we will find Carlos for more lessons. It was a great addition that Carlos was on the beach taking photos of our family as we were out in the water. Superb value for the 2-hour lesson and the pictures.

Caleb and the guys we amazing! I went with my 4 kids and we all road a few waves. There were 5 of us with three instructors, that helped so much.. Checked surfing off my list!

Everyone at La Muda Surf was incredibly kind! Everyone in our group was able to stand up despite it being our first time! We were also late to our reservation and they were very accommodating. They also took very cool pictures of us!

Friendly service! They gave me lots of good advice and helped me catch some waves. Good communication and easy to find on the beach.

I originally booked a group session for my husband and me, but after he suffered an ankle injury, I decided to go ahead on my own. It turned out I was the only one booked for that time slot! I was a complete beginner, but Carlos and Juan Carlos did an excellent job explaining the safety measures and making sure I had a fun-filled time. They even captured some beautiful photos of me. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
