Det ældste fyrtårn i Maine, bestilt af George Washington. Betragtes som det mest fotograferede fyrtårn i Maine.
Mindesmærke for 2. verdenskrigs flådeværft. Ved at beskæftige op til 30.000 mennesker byggede arbejderne 30 "Ocean"-fragtskibe til den britiske regering, startende i 1941, og 236 "Liberty"-fragtskibe til USA, startende kort derefter.
Lysstation i Caisson-stil, bygget i 1897, markerer den vestlige side af indsejlingen til Casco-bugtens vigtigste skibskanal. Tilstødende er Fort Preble og Southern Maine Community College.
Udformet efter Fort Sumner, er det et tidligere militærfort bygget på Hog Island Ledge i Casco Bay. Fra 1858 til 1864 blev der ikke udkæmpet kampe der, og ingen tropper var stationeret der
Bygget i 1875, også kaldet Bug Light på grund af dets lille statur. Det var modelleret efter et græsk monument, men lavet af støbejern. Det er omgivet af Bug Light Park, populær om sommeren til picnic og drageflyvning.

Great experience Incredible historical knowledge by your guide Bit too long and be weather conscious
Excellent tour- we learned and were entertained and saw all the sights. Our guide was fantastic and we enjoyed every minute of the tour. Get there early if you want to sit on the top deck and definitely bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker, even if it’s hot outside. You’ll be glad you have it. Also, sit on the right side of the boat.
Went on the sunset lighthouse tour with Mark as our guide. It was amazing! We learned so much about the islands and lighthouses around the bay, and saw an absolutely gorgeous sunset, along with some local wildlife. Mark was a great guide- knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. This is definitely a must-do to experience Portland and learn about the local nature and history of Casco Bay and Maine.
Very enjoyable experience with Captain - and LT narrating. It was fun hearing about all the sights we passed as well as LT’s experiences in the area as this was where he was born and raised. The sunset was beautiful and we even got to see some seals. Tip - bring a jacket as it got chilly heading back.
We took this cruise on June 27th. We were seated on the back of the boat on the first level. We heard not a thing of the tour as the speaker on the back of the boat was not as loud as the propellors. About 30 minutes into the ride everything was fog. I wish we knew of the fog ahead of time and had time to cancel. Overall a disappointment, unfortunately.
Comfortable cruise around Bay Area with interesting commentary about structures and lighthouses, and general history of the region. Unfortunately clouds hid the sunset, though we had some sky colors.

Make sure you bring a sweatshirt sweater or something. It does get cold out there. The water was a little choppy for a small period of time, but it was amazing. The sunset was so beautiful and we even saw seals
Amazing cruise….the sunset, the seals, the crew and most of all our tour guide Mark!!! What an experience and one of the best cruise tours I have ever been on!
