Se Japans unikke og traditionelle sport sumo med en dygtig guide. Hvis du er i Japan i juli, bør du ikke gå glip af det!Turneringerne afholdes 6 gange om året; 3 gange i Tokyo, en gang i Osaka, Nagoya og Fukuoka henholdsvis. Hver turnering varer i 15 dage. ) Hvis du gerne vil se sumo, tager det omkring to timer med Shinkansen fra Tokyo, og omkring en time med Shinkansen fra Kyoto. Hvorfor ikke benytte denne lejlighed til at besøge Nagoya for at se sumo? Mød din engelsktalende guide og gå til stadion. Din guide vil fortælle dig, hvad der er Sumo, dens historie og regler, før du går ind på stadion og give dig yderligere tips i mellem kampene. Føl den intense, alvorlige atmosfære af turneringen, mens du er fri til at gribe lidt øl, Yakitori (skewers), osv.. ved sælgeren inde i stadion og spise / drikke på dit sæde. *Mad og drikkevarer er ikke inkluderet i denne tur.

We had such a fantastic at the Sumo Grand Tournament in Nagoya! Our guide, Joji, was a wonderful host and he really made this experience not only exciting but educational. He took the time to sit with us, explain the rules of Sumo and how the Tournament works. He also gave us lots of background info on the wrestlers, which helped us really appreciate the athletic styles and personalities of the Sumo wrestlers. We had excellent seats, and a perfect view of the action, and all the details of the day were handled on our behalf making this an stress-free and full enjoyable day! I’d highly recommend this excursion to anyone interested in experiencing an authentic part of Japanese culture!

Amazing experience! Mayumi explained very well all our doubts and for sure I would be back! It was my first time in Japan and I couldn’t loose an event like that!

Attending a sumo tournament was a great experience for me. Erika was really informative and educated us about how the tournament worked and the rituals involved with sumo. Sumo is much more than just two wrestlers fighting! There’s the ring-entering ceremony, purifying the ring, cleansing themselves, attracting the gods, driving away evil spirits and the twirling the bow ceremony to close the tournament. Erika even took us to the souvenirs department where I got something to remember this sumo tournament. I loved it and definitely want to go again! Anyone who comes to Japan needs to see a sumo tournament as it is an important part of the Japanese culture. And I really appreciated having a guide like Erika, who taught me about the sumo process. I learned a lot and had a blast!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience visiting the Nagoya Grand Sumo tournament in July 2025. It was organized really well. We met just opposite the stadium and had a short introductory talk to Sumo by our amazing host Shoko. We had the chance to ask lots of questions. Then we went over to the stadium and found our seats which were great too! Great view! Shoko sat right next to us and answered all of our questions during the Sumo fights as well. I would recommend this experience to anyone who would like to learn more about Sumo on top of watching the fights
