Stonehenge Over 5.000 års historie venter på at blive opdaget af os på det forhistoriske sted i Stonehenge. Stonehenge er bygget på det vindsvævet Salisbury Plain af vores neolithiske forfædre, og er et sted, der har hostet kontroverser og rørt meningen i hundredvis af år. Udforsk mere end 250 antikke genstande på visning i det besøgscenter i verdensklasse. Oplev værktøjer og hverdagsgenstande fra det neolitiske liv, og mød en 5.500 år gammel mand og gamle menneskelige rester. Afklar mysteriet omkring Stonehenge ved hjælp af en interaktiv lydguide eksklusivt til Evan Evans. Lær, hvem der byggede det og hvorfor, samt hvordan det blev bygget ved hjælp af rudimentær udstyr lavet af træ og sten.
Windsor Castle (optional entry) er den britiske monarkis forfædres hjem og det største besatte slot i verden. Når du går rundt i de imponerende områder, er det næsten svært at tro, at på hinanden følgende konger og dronninger har boet her i over 900 år. Du vil se, hvorfor denne smukke slot var en foretrukken weekend residens af dronning Elizabeth II. Inden for State Apartments, vil du have mulighed for at udforske de samme værelser, der bruges i dag af Kongen og medlemmer af den kongelige familie. Værelserne her var beregnet til at konkurrere med Palace of Versailles i Frankrig, og malerier af berømte kunstnere som Rembrandt pryder væggene. Very informative and enjoyable. Little disappointed not being able to take pictures inside Windsor Palace and St Michel’s Church—did get a lot outside though!
Godfrey was great! Very knowledgeable about the history of the places we went to, and he made it enjoyable. Wished we knew Windsor Castle was closed on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. But otherwise great service!
Nice trip and our guide Mel was very informative and funny. There is a lot of uphill walking so be prepared.

Mel was an amazing guide! He kept our bus rides entertaining and gave us good history lessons before each stop. Both destinations are a must see. It’s a long day but so worth it!
