Mama Nita was great! She was very knowledgeable and entertaining to listen to. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great tour, very informative. 1 hr was the perfect amount of time considering the August heat! I wish there is a different way other than cash to leave gratuity. I didn’t have any cash on me nor did I have time to go to the ATM since arrived right before the tour started.
The tour guide was condescending and impatient. Ask a simple question and you’re treated like you’re stupid. It was really weird and he made it very awkward for everyone. He set the tone from the start and no one asked questions for the remainder of the tour. I would recommend others to do it because it’s historical and really cool to see in person, but hopefully you have a nicer and patient tour guide.
Very informative! My friends and I learned a lot about the history and culture of New Orleans through its burial practices. Our tour guide Taylor was very informative and receptive to questions. I could also tell they've been receptive to previous reviews on the heat, as they had tents set up at intervals in the cemetery for shade and some sprays of cooling water; they also handed out paper fans. All the people in the Basin St Station, where the tour begins, were also super kind and helpful!! We got rained on at the end of our tour and when we got back, a woman there had gotten towels for us!! Very sweet and thoughtful people :)
Dan was an excellent guide. He went above and beyond with recommendations afterwards with events around town, where to eat and his suggestions did not disappoint.
This was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide James was knowledgeable, funny, and truly passionate about the history of the cemetery and its residents. It’s definitely worth the money, and I believe the length of the visit is perfect as it offers enough time to learn about the place, but it’s short enough that the heat is bearable and your legs don’t hurt. Definitely a must-do if hou visit New Orleans, and even better if you get James as your guide!
Hi L, we’re thrilled you had such a wonderful experience! James truly brings the history to life, and it's fantastic to hear you enjoyed the timing of the tour. Thanks for recommending us as a must-do—hope to see you again on your next visit!
Visited the cemetery #1 today. Taylor was our guide and his knowledge was amazing. Thank you Taylor for an informative tour. Will definitely be back with the family
Hi Susan, we’re thrilled you enjoyed your tour with Taylor! His passion for sharing the history truly makes each visit special. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back for another memorable experience!
It is a good bit hotter in cemetery, no place to sit if needed. They do have covered areas with spray mist throughout
Absolutely amazing, our tour guide Taylor was amazing. Loved his jokes and the history he told us about the cemetery and some of its graves.
The tour guide (Mary) was very knowledgeable, we learned so much about the city as well. Id recommend this tour to anyone interested.
