Wonderful tour! The Madakaripura waterfall is enchanting, and the sunrise over Mount Bromo is simply breathtaking. The Ijen was closed for safety reasons so we couldn't do it, however Aldo was ready to reshape the tour and to offer some alternatives. He's company and organisation skills made our tour smooth and very pleasant. He was extremely friendly and always available. We highly recommend this tour to everyone! One only remark...he's interista...too bad!! ;-)

We did the 4 days and 3 nights tour. We visit: Borobudur Malioboro street Sultan temple Taman sari -Proambanan - Sunrise on Mount Bromo (incredible) - Baluran National Park (Ijen was closed to tourism on 07/09/24) Simply super recommended, a very top Guide, very attentive with us and very experienced, were 4 days very complete. We already want to repeat with him to take us to Ijen.

But better than all of that you will have the pleasure of hanging out with them, chatting, making jokes and generally learning a lot about Indonesian culture. The tour with Aldo was incredible and absolutely worth the price. Aldo is a great person who will be remembered forever. We had with him a great guide and also friend! Always punctual, very individual, courteous, friendly, humorous and open-minded. He always had everything under control and gave us a lot of information about the country and people. During long car journeys we always felt very comfortable and safe. He always stood up for us and gave us the best views and experiences. All in all, they were unforgettable days. Farewell was very difficult for us (you too, wasn't it Aldo?). We'll see Aldo Junior again in 20 years and drink espresso together (you know how to drink it now) Thanks for everything!

We had a limited time in East Java and wanted to visit Mounts Ijen and Bromo. Aldo replied within minutes in perfect English and provided a detailed itinerary, schedule and quote, answering our timing questions to make the trip work with a train we needed to catch. He is super friendly and came to pick us up at Banyuwangi airport and dropped us off at our hotel in the afternoon. During the first night he accompanied us to the foot of Mount Ijen up which we hiked with local guide Nanang (we were provided with jackets, masks and goggles). The next day Aldo drove us to Bromo and that night we hiked to the sunrise view spot with local guide Harry who brought us up to Mount Bromo later in the morning. After breakfast Aldo then drove us to the Probolinggo train station at noon so we could catch our train to Yogyakarta. On the road we were able to chat about Javanese and Indonesian culture with Aldo and learned and laughed a lot. He has been in the tourism industry in East Java for several years. We felt super safe during the excursions and both local guides were quite friendly and knowledgeable, which made the visit of these mind-blowing landmarks all the more enjoyable! I booked my tour of Bromo volcano and Ijen Blue fire with Darma at Java Exotica Tours. Darma and his fellow tour guides were amazing. Darma took exceptional care to ensure to accommodate my flights and time so that I would get the most of the tour. Darma accompanied me for the majority of the tour and is an easy going, knowledgeable and friendly person. On top of seeing the wonderful sites of Bromo and Ijen crater, it was really enjoyable spending time with Darma and discussing the region and its people. Would highly recommend the sites and booking through Darma - you won't be disappointed.
