Our trip with Prebu was outstanding. Prebu drove and guided us from the first second on our 6-day trip through Sri Lanka. Whether driving, translating, travel tips and even picking up forgotten luggage - Prebu was our good spirit on the journey. Very clear recommendation!

We took a holiday in Sri Lanka for two weeks, using the Pandanus Beach Resort as our base (fantastic choice). We wanted to spend 4 days touring the island and ticking off my wife’s bucket list. After a lot of research we decided on Prebu Lanka Tours. This was the best decision we could have made as Prebu made the whole experience such a memorable chapter of our holiday. Early morning on day 1 greeted by a beaming Prebu at our hotel to commence a long drive to Ella. It was a compact car but fine for us two and we always felt safe with Prebu, negotiating the busy roads of Sri Lanka and the erratic bus drivers. We visited the Buduruwagala Rock Temple and Rawana Falls on the way but missed the Undawalawe Elephant Reserve as it opens twice a day for just half an hour so it is a window you need to plan for. On arrival in Ella it was striking how popular this was with young travellers. The town was full of bustling shops but Prebu had arranged for us to take a tuktuk ride to the Nine Arch Bridge, a real colonial era marvel. Marvellous atmosphere, as was the hotel he had selected for the night, a taste of old colonial Ceylon. The next day the famous train ride from Ella to Nuwara Eliza. He had made sure to book us comfortable window seats to make the most of the stunning views. That day was our visit to one of the region’s tea factories, a must do. Again, he had selected one that wasn’t too big and not heaving with tourists but enough to give us an excellent idea of the process. That night we stayed at the Oak Ray Regency in Kandy. Comfortable enough but lacking the soul of our own hotel back near Bentota. The third day was to the Tooth Temple in Kandy. For an understanding of the devotion to Buddha this is a must do visit. Prebu as always enriched the experience by guiding us to the best parts and shared stories that added interest. We then departed for Sigiriya stopping off at a batik factory on the way. Sigiriya was an imposing sight. He took us to a good viewpoint to admire it as I have mobility issues so climbing it was out of the question. That night we stayed at Athena Lake Dambullah. We must admit we wondered where we were going as we drove towards it as it is right off the beaten track. However, on arrival we understood his choice, so peaceful, comfortable and clean. Sitting by the lake was one of the most memorable parts of our holiday. The final day we were dubious Prebu could fit in everything we wanted to see but he did. Several temples in Colombo, down to Galle for the Dutch Fort, a turtle rescue centre and the famous fishermen on stilts, returning to Bentota via several memorials and tales of the Boxing Day tsunami. Prebu packed in so much in four days. Brilliant value. He was so attentive and constantly aiming to ensure we had the best experience. My wife is vegan and he ensured that the places we stopped and stayed at could always provide for her. We really can’t imagine a better guide and he certainly made our tour such a highlight of our memorable holiday on this beautiful island.

We were two older ladies travelling together. Prebu took exceptional care of us. He considered tours that were suitable and showed concern about our safety. Prebu showed us o many wonderous Sri Lankan sites and was happy to corporate our interests (art,) into the tours. He assisted us with finding suitable accomadation at reduced agent prices. I travelled with my boyfriend for 10 days and we chose Prebu as our driver for the trip. We sticked to our itinerary but he also made us do more local things that we didnt know and we didnt plan. Everything was perfect. He was very kind and he always cared about us, our feelings and our wellness throughout the whole trip.
