Not the first time in Sri Lanka and used to great service. However, our driver Sajee brought the experience to another level! Very safe driving, always calm. Knowledgeable, excellent English and so fun to be with! If you do a tour 7+ days, ask for Sajee! For my wife, two adult daughters and myself, Sajee was part of the Sri Lanka experience!

A whistle stop tour which was great despite the weather! Sampath (Sammy) was our driver for a five day tour taking in Ella, Kandy, Galle and Columbo. Sammy was an excellent driver keeping us safe on the roads amongst the mayhem that was the tuk tuks! Sammy organised a wonderful evening for my sisters birthday with front row seats to a cultural dance show and even a cake which was presented to her on stage! Making her night! Sammy always ensured we were taken care of, from seeing us onto the train and meeting us at the other end to visiting the temple of the tooth relic and making sure we were at the right entrance. He also took us to some great restaurants , which saved us having to think about where we were going to eat. I can highly recommend him as a safe and friendly driver. The tour was put together by Lanka Safe tours, and as good as Sammy was, the accommodation organised by the company was poor. One in particular was more of a hostel and definitely not a 4 star that was stipulated. On the hotels we had requested we felt like we had the most basic rooms allocated for Lanka safe tours. So top tip, book your own as the ones we booked ourselves were excellent. Things to watch out for: The safari we had was not great, the driver was too erratic and it wasn’t an enjoyable afternoon. The other things to be wary of are the wood carving demos, they try hard to get you to buy, and the Ayurvedic herb garden , though it was fascinating and appeared to be genuine, after the tour you are rushed into the shop and before you know where you are I had walked out with £170 worth of remedies. I know ultimately it was my responsibility to not buy but the clever selling technique happens so fast you are whipped up into a buying frenzy. I felt as if we should have be warned about this as this is where many tours stop. We felt like we had been scammed, so beware! On reading other reviews of the same place they all had the same negative reviews. So beware!!! Other than that we enjoyed the days but on reflection we needed two nights in each place as it all felt a bit rushed. So if you are looking for a good driver Sammy is your man.

We had an amazing trip to SriLanka Sri Lanka safe tours have booked great hotels for us with family of 9 .We had stayed in 5 different 5 star hotels and The best was Grand Kandyian in Kandy.Our tour guide Mr Suppun ,was humble,knowledgable and great guiding us all along the trip.Not forgetting our bus driver Mr Banda ,brought us on a safe and excellent bus ride.Overall we were very very delighted and happy with their services! Would come back again for another trip!❤️
