Honestly not worth the time and money! The driver has attitude and reckless! The roads were narrow and hilly and he was driving so fast that we felt like we are on a rollercoaster! We had seat belts on and we are all holding the handles too.. one lady from the group had a hip pain because of the bumps and his irresponsible driving.
Tour lived up to expectations as described, and our guide Orion was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable! The van was comfortable but back seat window has less visibility in rain—opt for middle or front seats.
The half-day adventure in the hinterlands with Southern Cross Tours was worthwhile and far more grounding than many Gold Coast tourist attractions. Pickup was straightforward (in my case, they picked me up from my hotel). The weather was perfect for a day in the subtropical forests to see the waterfalls and natural bridge. Our guide was a fount of information, not only for the places we visited but for all things Australian in general. I also appreciate that the snack they provided was a freshly baked muffin from the cafe at Hinze Dam, not some packaged or ultra-processed food.

the tour guide is kind of too.intimidating for me! i just dont like his attitude! the scene is kind of nice but it is kind of too rushy!

The entire tour was relaxed, well-organised, and never felt overcrowded. The group size was just right — large enough to create a great atmosphere while still feeling comfortable and personal. Bill was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced. He provided clear instructions throughout the day and shared plenty of interesting information along the way. One of the best aspects of the tour was that we were given ample time at each stop, so it never felt rushed. We had plenty of opportunities to explore, take photos, and truly enjoy the surroundings. Springbrook was absolutely stunning. It was a short 5 hour trip, and we wished we could have spent more time there in the rainforest. The weather was perfect for most of the day, though clouds did roll in and spoil some of the views. The tour offered excellent value for money and felt well worth the cost. I originally discovered it through my company website and would definitely book again in the future. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable day out. A truly wonderful full-day adventure!

We were picked up on time with easy directions to meeting point, from there the tour went off & we began at the dam. Along the way our youngest unfortunately was a little unwell and had a little accident requiring some cleaning of the van and a short roadside break for the others. Our tour operator was a little peeved because the van had not been restocked with cleaning materials for such an inconvenience. After cleaning the van we resumed our tour and set off for natural bridge, our tour operator was very informative of all the lovely fauna and even had some previous photos of animal encounters that all on the tour appreciated seeing. All of the sights along the way and all the stops for this tour were magnificent as well as well worth doing again. 9/10 experience highly recommend for others.

Easy way to explore the hinterland. Matt, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and flexible as he was able to change our tour when encountered bad weather which had resulted in limited visibility. Great guide and driver. Morning snack was also very nice.Great value for money.
