Galveston har set et forfærdeligt antal pludselige dødsfald. Et ugudeligt antal af øerne kørte dyre, men afviste aldrig. Deres humør lurer i skygger, gyder, trapper og forfølger STRAND hver dag! De historiske bygninger fra det 19. århundrede på STRAND er blevet spøgelseshelligdommer. Og spøgelserne indeni dør bare for at møde dig. Deltag i vores 90 minutters vandretur, mens vi udforsker de fascinerende paranormale begivenheder på klyngen, den oprindelige rædselsgade. Orkaner, krig, ild og epidemier! Piraten Jean Lafitte gjorde endda øen til et tyvehul. Galveston har flere spøgelser end nogen anden by i U.S. Når man går om natten flyder gennemskinnelige figurer ved vinduerne. Skygger vil pludselig vises, og genstande bevæger sig af sig selv, når vi hænger tættere på hinanden for er gensidig beskyttelse. Vi ved aldrig, hvad der venter på os rundt om hjørnerne. Pas på og være bange! Når alt kommer til alt er Galveston intet andet end "en kirkegård med en strand knyttet."

På sin højde så denne jernbanestation over 40.000 mennesker om dagen på vej til Galvestons barer, kasinoer og bordeller. En ingeniør ved navn William Watson ville underholde de forbipasserende skarer ved at udføre håndstande på husdyrene til motorerne. En uheldig dag SLIPPED han og blev omgående halshugget. En derby hat sad stadig sikkert på hovedet, de fandt en MILE AWAY!
SÅ mange dignitærer, soldater, politikere og endda præsidenter har tjekket ind ... MEN Nogle ALDRIG Tjekkes ud. Grædende hulder høres på trappeopgangene og i hallerne. En borgerkrigssoldat marsjerer op og ned i lobbyen foran alle for at se. En lille dreng leger på hotellet, der ryktes at være et spøgelse fra et barn, der løber ud uden for hotellet. Et nyttigt spøgelse vil endda pakke ud for dig!
Charles F. Coghlan, en berømt britisk skuespiller, sejlede til Galveston for at nåde scenen i The Grand Opera House. Men stakkels Charles døde, før gardinet nogensinde blev hævet. Hvad skal man gøre med denne fornemme besøgende? Mens de ventede på svaret, den STORE STORM rev ned øen og bar Charles kiste ud på havet. Det flydede fra Galveston til Prince Albert Sound, før det endelig skabte land ... OM EN MILE FRA HVOR CHARLES GANG TIL RETUR!

Not sure if I believe all the stories told, but we had a great tour guide (Thomas). The tour was also not too taxing for older folks; plenty of stops where you could take a seat for a few minutes.

Thomas was an excellent guide. His presentation was engaging with so much detail about Galveston’s history and development as a city in the 1800’s. Their port was a critical part of their businesses and for a while Galveston was the capital of Texas. But when the 1900 storm hit Galveston, it devastated the city and changed its future. The worst natural disaster ever in the U.S. Thomas told us about the long recovery of Galveston and that ghosts are part of their city. One fascinating fact after another throughout the tour! I highly recommend this tour.

Lots of history, thomas was very knowledgeable. Interesting ghost stories. He even took more time with us. He pointed out various buildings and definitely captured your attention.

Thomas led a great tour! He gave great bits of history while telling us stories of some of the more notable spirits all while being fun and telling jokes. The tour was a great way to get to know the island a little better on our first night.

Took my daughter and a group of her friends on this tour for her 18th birthday. Thomas was very informative and kept everyone interested and entertained throughout the tour, which is not an easy thing to do with teenagers. Even though we are locals we learned lots of things about the island we never knew. Would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks for a fun evening Thomas!
