Siden 2016 denne prisbelønnede, autentiske og spændende vandreture for historie elskere tilbyde en unik blanding af historie, opdagelser og sjov med fordel af licenseret bosiddende guider, Split indfødte & eksperter med kandidatgrad i historie studier og økonomi, ægte sande historikere, der bogstaveligt talt levede nyere historie, voksede op her i '80s / '90s under tunge tider af kommunisme & hjemland krig og har originale, dybtgående, lokale viden om Dalmatien, den ældste & smukkeste region i Kroatien. På denne tur vil du udforske den gamle middelalderby med det spektakulære palads af den romerske kejser Diocletianus bygget i AD 305 (fra 1979 på UNESCO World Heritage Site List). Besøg på Kældermuseet som den bedst bevarede del af Diocletians palads er et andet godt supplement til denne tur. SMALL-GROUP STORHED (max.16) giver os mulighed for at gå 'bag kulisserne' & opleve destination 'gennem øjnene af lokale'. My friend and I recently visited the Palace and had the pleasure of being guided by Joško. Joško was extremely knowledgeable and brought the history of the Palace to life. As a 13th-generation Croatian who lived through the war of the 1990s, he was able to provide both historical facts and personal insights that made the tour especially meaningful. He is a very pleasant, personable, and engaging guide with a genuine passion for the history of the Palace. He explained the story of the Emperor, the construction of the Palace, the materials used, and what daily life was like there centuries ago. He also spoke about the damage the Palace suffered during the war and the efforts made to preserve this remarkable historical site. I would highly recommend Joško to anyone planning a tour of the Palace. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal connection to the history make for a truly memorable experience. Enjoy! An outstanding tour. Very informative and great value for money. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable, making history come alive and maintaining interest for 2.5 hours that seemed to pass so quickly.
