Det er en helt fantastisk oplevelse at lære at køre sin egen bil som en professionel på disse helt unikke områder. En uforglemmelig oplevelse. Kompetente og erfarne guider tager dig med at køre op og ned af disse enorme klitter, mens du oplever den klassiske Sandwich Harbour Tour. Se det fantastiske lyserøde vand i saltminen, se de tusindvis af vadefugle i Ramsar-vådområdet, flamingoer, pelikaner og alle arterne, se sæler og sjakaler, mens du kører på stranden og derefter ud på de tårnhøje klitter. Coaching og erfaringsudveksling med guiden. Rejseplan
Efter mødet i Swakopmund kører vi til Walvisbay, hvor vi 1/2 time senere møder vores Walvisbay Gæster. Derefter forbi saltminen på stranden, til klitbæltet ved Sandwich havn, hvor havet møder klitten, og op ad de tårnhøje klitter, for nogle virkelig adrenalinskabende øjeblikke og en fantastisk udsigt. Ned ad mange stejle slipflader og op ad mange høje klitter langs en rigtig spændende klitkørsel. Du følger vores guide med din bil og bliver hjulpet på vej i enhver situation af vores guide. Vi vejleder om rutehjælp med køreteknikker, kommunikation via Radio. Sørg for, at din bil er tilstrækkeligt forsikret og har biludlejningsfirmaets tilladelse til at komme ind i Sandwich. Efter klitkørsel går vi tilbage til Walvisbay, pumper dæk op og tilbage til din bolig. Det er en fantastisk oplevelse. Bemærk venligst, at prisen her er for 1 køretøj inklusive 2 personer. Turen starter virkelig ved Walvis Bay Esplanade. Her ser vi flamingoerne og lufter vores dæk. Vi udveksler erfaringer og lærer om hinandens køretøjer. Derefter går vi forbi de lyserøde saltsøer i saltminen på stranden og til de tårnhøje klitter. Vi kører den samme rute som vores Sandwich Harbor Dune-kørsel.

The trip to Sandwich Harbour is only possible with a guide. So if you want to go there, you need a driver/guide. For us, it was Winton, and he did a great job - we had a lot of fun!
We did the halfday tour to Sandwich Harbor and it was just a perfect day! Thanks so much to Victor for safely driving us through the dunes, showing us the most wonderful places there and explaining us about all the local nature and animals. We will never forget this day!

We had a fantastic tour; our driver Leclue told us a lot about the history and surroundings, was very child-friendly (we had our 20-month-old daughter with us), and drove very safely. The tour was perfect, and we would recommend it to everyone. Many heartfelt thanks to Leclue; we had a great time!!

We booked the tour and a rental car to drive ourselves. The car was very good, strong engine, V6 petrol. The ride in the dunes was demanding, some experience advantageous. Winton as a guide (via radio) gave good instructions at the right time and always had us in mind. We felt in very good hands. Great lunch in the dunes overlooking the sea. Exceeded expectations and a highlight on our Namibia trip.

We did book a self driving tour to sandwich harbour and as our rental car company would not allow us to use our car we rented a car from Desert Dunes and Dust Tours and what should i say. It was a 10 stars experience and the views you are going to see is absolutely insane. Nothing what a picture could ever really capture. Your are standing on the top of a dune with your 4x4 which you drove yourself to one of the most beautiful places on earth, did see some whales along the way and had endless fun driving on the beach and in the dunes. For everyone who is worried about the self drive, do it!!! Our Guide Stephan has been phenomenal in giving us great advice for driving but also his knowledge about the area and wildlife is absolutely amazing and he has a fun personality. The tour is literally one of the best things i have ever made. Thanks a lot!!!

We had an exhilarating day out to Sandwich Harbour- it was a very high spring tide with 1.6m waves - we were the only car to get to Sandwich Harbour through the back dunes as our wonderful guide, Gerhard, was very experienced. We went up and down very high dunes but saw the beautiful Sandwich Harbour. Coming back the tide had washed right in - even the back dunes were covered - once again Gerhard did an amazing job and safely got us through - with waves lapping over the car!! We tried to go to see the seal colony in the afternoon but after going through 5 “rivers “ of tide coming in we had to turn back! Thank you Gerhard for a great day out! We highly recommend this tour and guide!

We booked the Self Driving Tour to Sandwich Harbour. I expected to enjoy the beautiful nature and improve my 4x4 driving skills. And I can promise every guy: this is amzing!!! You get a perfect advice from the guide and follow him. You start easy step by step. After this trip you ride up and down the dunes like a rollercoaster. Beside you get a lot of information about the nature, animals and history. The food is also great. Many thanks to our guide Riaan, he maked a great job 👍👍👍 Markus & Belinda
