The island experience was great. Pick up from the hotel was on time. The only problem we had was our return transfer to the hotel was scheduled for 3 hours after the island experience finished. There is very little to do at the port for 3 hours. The tour operator was less than helpful and said there was nothing they could do. We had to organise and pay for a taxi to the hotel. I would recommend this experience to a friend however, I would strongly recommend clarifying transfers and times back to the hotel prior to booking.
A great way to see the islands in a few hours. Great food on the little island. Don’t rush into the underwater fridge if you don’t like confined spaces.

The trip was great even though it was too rough for glass bottom boat or submersible sub. Food was good more choice in wines would be an improvement but the entertainment was amazing The real disappointment was trying to book through trip advisor as the site kept crashing we were booked twice then had problems trying to get info and refund but eventually sorted after many hours on the phone
The South Sea Island Combo trip was a great choice for us. The Snorkelling was great, seeing lots of colourful fish and coral. The lunch was delicious and we enjoyed the traditional songs and dancing. The cruise back through the islands was great to see where they were all located.

We wanted a half day excursion during our short trip to Fiji. This excursion was billed as a 3 hour island visit starting at 8:45 am. Once we booked the trip, we were instructed to be picked up by our bus at 7:05 am. I talked to a representative and was told that the bus pickup was to get us to the dock in time for an 8:45 departure. I could have paid for a cab to take us to the dock at a later time but was afraid we wouldn’t find the departure point at the Port Denarau marina. In retrospect, we would have been fine doing this. Instead, we were picked up at 7:05 and got to the Port at 7:30, a full 1 hour, 15 minutes before departure! The actual excursion was great: beautiful island, fun dancers, good food, friendly people, nice snorkeling, but the real surprise came on the way back to Nadi: our boat acted as a ferry and stopped at at least 7 other island resorts picking up and dropping off people before getting us back to Port Denarau. So, instead of leaving the island at 12:30 (which we did) and getting back to the dock 30-45 minutes later, we did not get back to our bus until 3:00 pm and then still had the 20 minute bus ride back to our hotel. In all, our “1/2 day excursion” took over 8 hours! I never would have chosen this excursion if I had known it would have taken up so much of our limited time in Fiji.

As your booking was made through the online travel agent Viator, some of the pre-travel information and timing details are communicated via the third-party platform rather than directly by our reservations team. For clarity and information for other travellers, the Combo/Half Day trip operates via scheduled vessel services from Port Denarau Marina. These vessels also provide resort transfers to several resorts in the Mamanuca Islands, which may result in additional stops during the return journey. Our website outlines that the vessels serve both as day-trip cruises and scheduled resort transfers. Coach transfers from hotels are planned to ensure guests arrive at the marina with sufficient time for check-in and boarding. On your day, the coach visited Wailoaloa Road at 6:50 am, the Ramada at 6:55 am, and departed at 7:06 am. Guests that were there on time boarded our complimentary coach. Great day at island - very organised. Lunch was lovely and plentiful. Cruise back was a bit rough and long - would of preferred to come back to port earlier.

Great day out ,beautiful island staff was very friendly great entertainment . Would have been good to give some better instructions for first time snorkellers to familiarise with equipment before jumping into the sea..Otherwise a a wonderful experience .cheers

Not as expected. Full disclosure we received a discounted trip through Wyndham. We had expected the day to include a visit to the island with glass bottom boat and snorkel trip followed by a tour around the islands to do more snorkelling. Perhaps there was miscommunication along the way - however after about 2.5-3 hours on the island the second half this trip is sitting on the ferry to go around the islands dropping off visitors, guests and staff to the surrounding islands and resorts. Snorkelling on the island and glass bottom boat is OK but there wasn’t an opportunity to do any actual reef snorkelling. Wouldn’t recommend this for kids. It was boring and time consuming. Kids were really disappointed at having to sit on the boat for 3 hours - during which they whinged that we had promised snorkelling. There’s half a day we’ll never get back on our Fiji holiday. To make it more confusing the operators gave us the wrong wrist band meaning to every staff member we had to explain the situation that we were on a different trip to the one we had a wrist band for.

The Combo Trip includes a half-day on South Sea Island with activities such as snorkelling, use of non-motorised water sports equipment, a semi-submersible or glass-bottom boat trip, and a delicious BBQ lunch with drinks, followed by an island cruise aboard our vessel as we transfer guests to and from the outer islands. We understand that if this itinerary was not clearly communicated prior to your travel, it may have caused some disappointment — particularly regarding expectations of additional reef snorkelling stops. Your feedback is invaluable and has been shared with our teams to ensure that our partner agents clearly communicate what the Combo Trip involves so that guests have an accurate understanding before they book. We do hope you might consider travelling with us again in the future on one of our full-day trip or sailing tours, which offer dedicated reef snorkelling opportunities and may be a better fit for your family’s preferences. This was a great tour. We stopped and spent the day at South Seas island, which had tons of activities included. When we left, the ship operates as a taxi and took us on a 2 hour tour of 6 other islands. it was great and there was so much to see.

The day at South Sea Island with lunch was great! We enjoyed lunch and the water activities! We did not expect to be picked up at 12:30 by an island hoping tour, thus we got back to thr Port later than anticipated and we were late for our next excursion. The islands were very neat.
