I wouldn't go here if your interested in looking at graves and people who died. You will be walked around made to feel like your a child who can't look at anything other than what the guide wants you to. Your walked to 4 points of the cemetery and told a story that's too long and drawn out about maybe 5 graves max ... u cannot have a look at the sites around you or on any other track than where the guides want u to go. Very boring and a few i would say unsure things such as the devils plot having no names due to being criminals when I looked a bit further I found one and was quickly told to step away by the guide.
Are you sure you have undertaken our tour? We could not find your booking in our system. We are not the only operators, however we are the original Ghost Tours at South Brisbane Cemetery. It could not be ours as we visit 10 different graves in two hours throughout the cemetery. If you wanted to look at any graves on our tour you merely need to ask our guides. As to the Devil's Plot the prisoners buried there had a wooden marker when they were initally buried but no gravestones - they were unmarked; this is absolutely true. There is one exception to this and that is Patrick Kenniff the bushranger whose brother was allowed to erect a gravestone on his grave. That grave is one of those we visit on the tour and talk about this detail which makes us think you did not undertake our award winning tours or you would surely recall this tale. There is a plaque erected by the Brisbane City Council with the names of those buried there listed, however this is modern and does not date to the days when those executed were being buried. The guides explain all these details as part of the content. It is hardly boring information. We have no idea if this is a legitimate complaint. Our guides encourage our customers at the end of the tour to contact us directly if you have feedback. If customers are unsatisfied we are happy to try to make things right. Leaving a 1 star review is really not justified.
My partner and I recently visited the South Brisbane Cemetery and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour guides were engaging, well-spoken, and professional, sharing a wealth of information and fascinating stories throughout the tour. Their storytelling really brought the history of the cemetery to life and kept us interested from start to finish. I would also really like to applaud both of your guides. They did a fantastic job creating such an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for the group. Their knowledge, confidence, and ability to tell stories in such an interesting way made the whole experience memorable. It was clear they are passionate about what they do. We had such a positive experience and really appreciated doing something a little different, as we haven’t done anything like this before. We’re already looking forward to booking another tour with Ghost Tours Australia in the future.

We did the Goodna tour - enjoyed it very much - such a varied & interesting history ! Kinda sad to see such a lot of unmarked graves from the asylum - we had a lovely time .

The tour was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of time and money. There was nothing exciting or engaging about it — everything felt dull, unorganized, and poorly presented. The guide lacked enthusiasm and knowledge, making the entire experience feel even more tedious. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but it never did. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone — there are far better ways to spend your day.

The two gentlemen hosting were absolutely exceptional. The stories were brilliantly told and the atmosphere was haunting yet enjoyable. The rain and lamps provided created the perfect spooky evening. Highly recommend.

What great story tellers the guides are who are twin brothers. Very interesting to learn about the cemetery. Throughly enjoyed our time and would love to go to the Cemetery through the day to see where we walked.

We got public transport to the cemetery, we were met at the gate and given a lantern prior to the start of the event which was run by brothers, which were extremely knowledgeable very sociable and made the evening very enjoyable and worth going. So much so we are venturing to the cemetery again in daylight .

We thoroughly enjoyed our night. We have done many ghost tours around Australia and overseas, and your tours always rate highly with us. We love the true life stories, the highly researched backgrounds of the ppl who are buried there. It's been a long time between drinks worth your tours. The last one we did was the last sleepover at boggo road. We would love to go back there! Last night was amazing. There was so much activity. We captured many things in photos that are very clear. The tour was good but it was more of a history lesson then a scary ghost tour. More stories regarding how people died than ghost experiences had in the cemetery. Be prepared to stand in the one spot for long periods of time as the hosts speak extremely slow ( for dramatic effect ) By the end of the 2 hours people were just sitting on the road, gutter or dirt.
We have passed your feedback onto the guides and sought their response. There were 13 ghost stories told on the tour. We do share the history behind each of the hauntings - who the "ghost" was, how they died, when they died, where the story took place and other contextual details. These are all real old ghost stories and tales from Queensland's past. We do not have ghosts jumping out so the scariness is in the history / truth behind the tales. If it seemed the guides were telling the stories too slowly, the reason is that in the dark the guides need to make sure people hear the tales - it is not slowed for dramatic effect. We try to balance not being overly dramatic (as people do not like) that with people being able to hear. It is a long tour and people are often tired. People do from time to time sit down on the ground to rest between stories as there is no seating at this historic site. We have organised to give the guides some further training. We have many different tours with different guides - perhaps undertake the Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tour: The Original.
