Thank you for your feedback. We do need to clarify several points, as the review does not accurately reflect what is included in the tour or what is clearly stated in the itinerary. Our tour visits eight different locations and is specifically designed around the foods, traditions and specialties of Campania. The purpose is not simply to order foods that any visitor can walk into a restaurant and order themselves. The pizza stop is a perfect example. Our itinerary clearly does not state that pizza is served. We intentionally visit this particular pizzeria to taste its distinctive freestyle crust and explain how it differs from a traditional Neapolitan VPN-style pizza. The tasting and comparison are the experience—simply ordering a pizza would completely miss the purpose of this stop. Likewise, while the chocolate shop offers some samples to the general public, our group receives dedicated attention and additional tastings arranged specifically for our tour. Most importantly, our guests also receive access to a private residential lemon grove that is not simply open for tourists to walk into on their own. This is precisely the type of experience that an independent visitor would not normally have access to. Across eight stops, guests taste specialties of Campania while learning about the foods, producers, traditions and culinary culture behind them. A food tour is not simply about how much food can be placed in front of someone—it is about understanding what you are tasting, why it is significant to the region, and what makes it different. We make the tastings and itinerary clear before booking, including what is—and is not—served. We therefore encourage guests to read the itinerary carefully and to engage with the guide's explanations during the experience, as the dialogue and context are an important part of understanding why each stop has been selected.

Shaana, I completely reject the false allegations in this review. I was not under the influence of anything, and the claims about slurred speech or impairment are simply untrue. Your negative attitude throughout the tour - yes it was exhausting. The only accurate part is that I excused myself from the table as I received a message that my boyfriend had been in an accident and at the hospital. Like anyone receiving such upsetting news, I was shaken. I find it disappointing that a moment of genuine human concern was portrayed so negatively. It’s also worth noting that your fellow guests later apologized for your behavior, thanked me for the tour, and expressed that they had enjoyed the experience. Your refund request was reviewed by Viator and declined. After more than 15 years of providing highly rated food tours in Sorrento, I remain proud of the authentic experiences and hospitality we provide our guests. Tamara
