ld Mission Santa Ines var den nittende af de 21 missioner bygget i Californien fra 1769 til 1836 af spanske franciskanerpræster, ledet af fader Junipero Serra. Missionen blev grundlagt den 17. september 1804 af Fader Estevan Tapis, det var den første europæiske bosættelse i Santa Ynez-dalen.
Vindmøllen blev bygget i 1922 af J.C. Wulff på Fredensborg Canyon og var en del af en egentlig arbejdsbrønd for hans gård.
Dette museum er et must-besøg destination for alle, der rejser til Solvang!! Museet ligger i en historisk bygning i dansk stil, der engang var hjemsted for en af byens mest fremtrædende familier, familien Petersens.

The starting location was wrong. No one to help get us on track. It cost 40 dollars and no tour. Tried reaching out no one got back to me. Will never book like this again

The tour should have started smoothly with the directions provided, so if you could kindly message us with the specific issues you encountered, our team will address them immediately and make sure this doesn’t happen again.
The app is very clunky. It started and stopped, then would put things in a different order. I tried to go through a browser and it wouldn't log me in. Listening to the information,,.the directions would interrupt them and thenaybe their info would continue.
Some background information about Solvang but nothing really exciting. Not the narrator’s fault, just what is there.
We liked the lecture but we wanted to spend more time at some of the places and had a hard time stopping the tour so we could spend the extra time. I finally had to stop the tour after about three stops.
Wow! Solvang was an amazing surprise getaway and a destination I never knew I would love, love love. This 220 year old authentic Danish town, 30 min northeast of Santa Barbara, overwhelmed me with charm from the Scandinavian architecture of every building, the 100s of shops, wine tasting rooms, restaurants and wow - the authentic Danish bakeries. Solvang sits in the middle of wine country and is surrounded by over 200 wineries that offer another level awe and pastoral beauty - not to mention the delicious wines. My only negative was that I didn’t plan enough time to fully experience all that Solvang and the surrounding towns and wineries had to offer. Next time I plan a minimum of 3-4 days to explore more vineyards and culture that this little know gem has to offer. 5 Stars across the board!!’
A small town transported from Denmark. But crime in the kingdom of LEGO a “PLAYMOBIL” appearance (a shame). With all the markers and (almost) as clean as the "real" ones. And there are not 3 or 4 houses but a large part of the city respects the architecture of the DK. Large choice of shops where Danish products take pride of place. Pretty nice pastries. But it's not free. Out of season we park the car easily in high season and on weekends it is much less safe. For the lazy, it is possible to take the tour in a minibus or even in a horse-drawn carriage (provide a substantial reserve of $ because it is located in the vineyards of Sta Ynez.
