Great snorkeling trip in unawantuna with a lot of fish and corals to see. Got 3 snorkle in 3 different places. It was nice to snorkel at the shipwreck. The captain was nice and friendly. Good value for money. Only gave it 4/5 as I had to wait 20-30 before they came and got me.

Great experience overalls, our guide is very experienced & patient to explain where we go and what is needed to do for our safety, However the visibility is not so good.

I had originally booked the exact same snorkeling experience with ZRI last year April. Unfortunately, that trip didn't go ahead since the company contacted me to say that due to low visibility, they would rather cancel the trip than take us with the risk of us ending up being disappointed because we wouldn't be able to see any fish. The money was refunded rightaway. In other words, a very honest, reliable company! This is why this year, we didn't hesitate to choose this company again. Most of us did not have any experience came with snorkeling. The crew explained everything clearly and extensively. My friends and I felt safe and comfortable at all times. We saw many colourful fish. In short: a fantastic first snorkeling experience for my friends! If you're looking for a professional, honest and reliable snorkeling company: look no further. This was a great experience for us in our honeymoon in Sri Lanka. The company is small and friendly, meaning they're able to be flexible with timings. They arranged a 9am boat for us the morning after we booked on TripAdvisor, communicating conveniently via WhatsApp (they don't message you until the morning of the trip, so don't worry, but after that they communicate very well). We were the only people on the boat so were able to go at our own pace. Snorkel gear and life vests were provided for those that wanted them. We stopped to snorkel at three locations: a beautiful rocky shoreline with tropical fish; a shipwreck and over some really unusual, huge mushroom coral. Great value for a morning's entertainment!

This trip turned out better than expected. Take you gps as the tuk tuk driver will struggle with the meeting point. Not mentioned was a boat ride of 15 mins to Jungle beach to anchor off the rocks . No guide is mentioned which was / is a comfort to the less experienced. Not mentioned is a second site over a wreck in deeper waters hopefully bigger fish. Third site in shallower water the growth of soft coral returning after the Tsunami . Really worth the $40 a head

What a morning, the guides were so friendly and helpful and safe. We saw the shipwreck and lots of schools of fish and amazing soft coral, it was a great activity that we really enjoyed, if in unawatuna it’s a great safe way to spend time in the ocean and the company we’re professional and really open and warm, do it

Main objective was to see turtles and not let down, divers took us straight to them. Nice and simple no fussing, great experience to get so close.

The guides and organisation of the trip was really good but the reef they took us to was really disappointing. No corals, very few fish and nothing else.
Thank you for your feedback. We at ZRI Adventures prioritize our customer experience and satisfaction at all times. Coming to the main subject of the customer not being able to have a great view of the Reef that they were taken to. Prior to the trip, we had clearly updated the customer regarding visibility, that it will be poor due to high tides, however purely based on the customer’s request we decided to do the trip. Furthermore we had given the customer the following options as well on the first day; 1. Postpone the session to the next day from the originally booked date. 2. Cancel and make the full refund. Since the customer chose to do it the next day and the visibility was still not as expected, the customer was unable to see many fishes as only see a limited distance could be seen. However, kindly note that there are no corals in Unawatuna. If you want to see corals, Trincomalee would be the best location. Let us know when you visit Sri Lanka again. We will provide you with a great experience for sure!
Making a reservation with Zri was hassle-free thanks to Zakib. They did an excellent job organising our snorkelling trip to Unawatuna. Our guide (Niroshan) and the person who handled the boat were super friendly and professional. The changing rooms provided for us were clean and convenient too. Thank you for making our little adventure memorable and we definitely look forward to booking another adventure with Zri. Highly recommended.
