The guide was a no show, I wasted an afternoon on a tour that never happened. I never and still have not received an explanation from the guide or Viator. Very angry and frustrated
We would like to clarify that the tour was cancelled in advance due to the minimum participant requirement not being met. A cancellation notice, along with an explanation, was sent through the Viator booking system before the scheduled start time of the tour. We understand that messages can sometimes be missed while traveling, but our team followed the established cancellation procedure and provided the information through the booking platform. As the tour did not take place, no guide was scheduled to meet participants at the departure point.
Daniel was a superb tour guide who passionately told the stories of World War II and the anthropoid operation in 1942. He answered any questions with clarity and my husband and I couldn’t have asked for any more from the tour. It was just absolutely wonderful and we would gladly recommend him to anyone in the future for an unforgettable experience yo. Thanks again, Daniele. I hope you like your chocolate lol
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We truly appreciate it :)
We had Daniel for our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Operation Anthropoid and the war in general. We would highly recommend Daniel and this tour to better understand the Czech resistance, the Gestapo in Prague, and the elimination of Heydrich. We had several great discussions on these subjects and really enjoyed our time with Daniel.
Thanks for your review. We really appreciate it :)
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. Perfect tour for any inner historian.
We love to hear that. Thanks :)
Richard was a fantastic guide! The original your was very informative, and on top of that he was able to answer every question I had and was able to give fun historical facts even beyond the scope of the tour.
Thank you so much. We really appreciate it :)
Richard was an exceptional guide with a vast depth of knowledge who provided an in-depth overview of the Nazi occupation of Prague. His easy and engaging style was outstanding and made communication with a multinational group very pleasurable and informative
If you are a WWII buff this tour ties in the main focus to eliminate German SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, the butcher of Prague. Our tour guide Daniel specializes in history and covered events from the end of 1918 through 1945. I highly recommend taking this tour with him.
Many thanks for your review! We are glad you had a good time on the tour with Daniel :)
As someone who is very interested in this period of history, and in particular Operation Anthropoid, this tour did not disappoint. Our tour guide Allen was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and provided a background to how we ended up going to war in the first place, and later the plan to assassinate Heydrich. He told the story, much of which is quite upsetting in a very human way, and in a way which my wife (who isn't necessarily a world war 2 enthusiast) found very interesting and easy to follow. The tour culminated at St Cyril and St Methodius church where Czech paratroopers (2 of whom carried out the attack on Heydrich) hid in the crypt, and were eventually betrayed. A very sombre place, but a privilege to visit and pay respects. A highly recommended tour.
Thank you so much for your review. We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the tour and found the story engaging and meaningful. Cheers!
Our guide, Allen, is not only deeply passionate about the subject but also exceptionally well versed in both the historical context of the events that preceded the Anthropoid story and the complex details of the story itself. He connects at a most human level with his guests and is a delightful individual to spend time with. An excellent and moving presentation. Well worth the time and money. We will hopefully see him again one day in Prague.
Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate it!
If you’re a fan of history this tour is a must. Daniel is a wonderful guide and extremely knowledgeable. Do a general walking tour and tour of the Jewish quarter, of course. Next, you should do this.
Many thanks for the review, we truly appreciate it!
