Denne udflugt er en glimrende mulighed for at observere en stor mængde biodiversitet, da 87 procent af faunaen er aktiv om natten, i tillid til den dårlige sigtbarhed, som mørket tilbyder dem. Ved et normalt besøg er der mulighed for at observere; to-tåede dovendyr, ni-båndet bæltedyr, ugler, regnfrøer og ved nogle lejligheder kan vi iagttage en kinkajou eller en grøn palmehugorm foruden en lang række meget interessante insekter som fx et pindeinsekt, bladinsekt ; Nogle gange kan vi finde skorpioner, taranteller og meget mere. Under hele turen vil du blive ledsaget af en naturforsker, der er klar til at dele mange af skovens hemmeligheder med besøgende.

Rafael was fantastic at finding animals and was incredibly patient with our children, adjusting the scope for their height. Highly recommend, highlight of Monteverde!
An easily accessible and affordable tour. The guides were very kind!
We decided to book this tour after people we met were raving about the experience of guided tours in Monteverde in general--and we're very glad we did. Our guide, Jesus, was amazing. He led a group of 6 through the trails, showing us funnel spiders, tarantulas, frog larvae, a viper, multiple frogs, stick bugs, moss-mimicking stick insects, multiple birds, and etc. The frogs in particular are so ridiculously tiny that there's absolutely 0% chance we could have seen them without his help--even after he pointed them out, often we could not see them with our naked eyes until he set up zoom optics. Furthermore, he fed our curiosity with so much knowledge (having studied entomology and having so much experience with Costa Rican wildlife) that we were super happy we had decided to book this. We had been a bit concerned about the rain, but given the density of the canopy and a rain poncho (and the fact that things were calmer at 8 pm), it was no big deal.
Our Monteverde night walk offered a unique opportunity to experience the cloud forest after dark. Our guide was knowledgeable and helped us spot several fascinating nocturnal creatures while sharing insights about their behaviors and the ecosystem. Walking through the forest at night was both exciting and memorable, providing a completely different perspective on Monteverde’s incredible wildlife.
Our tour guide Rafael was really good. Very friendly, knowledgeable, great sense of humor and funny. We really enjoyed our tour because of him!
Our tour was fantastic. We had our tour with Rafael and he did a terrific job of finding the things we specifically wanted to see. He went out of the way to help us get fantastic pictures as well. He was very knowledgeable and made our experience amazing!

Rafael was a great tour guide. Saw toucans, tarantulas, pit vipers, monkeys, frogs, sloths, and other things. We had a private tour but the guides worked together to make sure we saw lots of animals. Would definitely recommend.
We went with the guide Rafael and he was very, very fun. Rafael is literally a magician. He saw the smallest animals in the dark. We saw frogs, scorpions, toucans, owls, snakes, salamanders, spiders, tarantulas, etc.
Our tour guide was Raphael, he was excellent! Very informative, and made us feel so welcome. He was friendly and made sure we saw plenty of wildlife. I would definitely recommend booking with him.
