Oplev Atherton Tablelands på en uforglemmelig dag Oplev skønheden, dyrelivet og historierne om Atherton Tablelands på dette hele dages eventyr med små grupper fra Port Douglas. Rejs ud over kysten til en af Tropical North Queenslands mest forskelligartede regioner, hvor verdensarvregnskoven giver plads til åbne savanneplanter, frugtbare vulkanske landbrugsarealer og brede landskaber. Tag det fantastiske forskelligartede landskab, når vi tager lidt brugte veje og spor for at udforske Atherton Tablelands, møde lokale producenter og smage på en række unikke smag i troperne.
Nyd det varierede spektakulære landskab
Slap ind i dagen med en tropisk morgenmad ved stranden på Ellis Beach, der indeholder gourmet-sandwiches, søde delikatesser og barista-kaffe. Havudsigt og afslappede vibrationer sætter den perfekte tone til dit Outback-eventyr.
Næste stop er Emerald Creek Ice creamery en familieejet virksomhed beliggende på 2,15 ha på Kennedy Highway mellem Mareeba og Kuranda. Deres is er lavet på stedet på deres fabrik ved hjælp af ren fløde og sødmælk. Sorbets (mejerifri, fuld frugt) fremstillet også på stedet ved hjælp af lokal Tablelands frugt. Dette stop vil du have en prøvesmagning af unikke tropiske smage.
Stop ved 'The Humpy', det bedste sted at gå til for nyhøstede Atherton Tablelands-produkter, der produceres direkte fra avlerne. Fra grøntsager til tropiske frugter og hundredvis af forskellige sorter af nødder, tørrede frugter, der er lokalt produceret syltetøj og saucer. Smag på sæsonbetonede frugter og mange forskellige smag af varme lokale jordnødder og macadamianødder.
Nyd en afslappet frokost på det historiske Lake Barrine Teahouse, der ligger ved siden af en rolig krater i hjertet af regnskoven. Smag på en lækker måltid i denne fredfyldte omgivelse, omgivet af frodig grønt og tidløs charme.
Gallo Dairyland Gå gennem den maleriske landsby Yungaburra til en fuldt operationel mejerifarm spredt ud over 1000 acres af rig rød vulkansk jord med håndlavet chokolade og en gourmetostefabrik. Her smager vi en fuld ostefad og smager uimodståelige chokolader i schweizisk stil, der er et kunstværk.
Her stopper vi for at smage på nogle prisvindende spiritus og nyde de smukke haver og venlige dyr.
Her kommer vi ind på en privat ejendom på 165 acres, og vi går ned til Platypus Hut, hvor vi slapper af på dagsenge eller oppe i baren og holder øje med Platypus i åen. Vi nipper til Queensland hvidvin og rødvin og Great Northern beer og lærer hinanden lidt bedre at kende.

A great itinerary. Value for money. Only thing we would have liked was a wine tasting at one of the vineyards.

Just as a little local quirk of Tropical North Queensland — we don’t actually have traditional grape vineyards here due to the climate 🍍🍋 The wines you tasted are made from locally grown tropical fruits instead, which makes them quite unique to the region. An enjoyable tour trip with interesting food stops and tastings. Our driver Stevie was great fun and informative with local knowledge and historic details provided. It was a full day event, taking almost nine hours from pick up to drop off, great value. Saw much of the countryside and plenty of food.

What a fabulous tour. Chris was fantastic, we had the added bonus of the beautiful Bosun. So much good food, drink, cheese, chocolate. Great scenery. We left this tour after 10 hours saying that we could do it again. Loved it

What an incredible way to see far north Queensland! Chris and his sweet canine sidekick Bosun were delightful hosts and kept us entertained all day. The food was great, and each stop offered fun new things to taste. It was a great way to sample lots of food, and also see a lot of different landscapes all in one day. They also went out of their way to pick us up/drop us off in Palm Cove, which was much appreciated!

Extremely informative but a very long day but enjoyable . Our guide Chris was excellent with his knowledge and we felt safe driving with him up the mountain!! Great day all round totally recommend this tour 👌

We had a amazing day out with our guides Chris and Bosun today. I didn't know what to expect but the tour exceeded our expectations especially seeing the platypus. Had a wonderful day seeing the sights and feasting on local food and beverages and trying to spot a platypus or two as well. Chris our guide, and his trusty mate Bosun the delightful little pooch who we all thought gorgeous, gave us a very good tour and providing us with ecological, geological and historical aspects of the area. Had a different experience at every stop we visited. The local producers are amazing and we all should support local. Enjoyed the singalong as we were heading back to PD. Really topped off tbe whole day. Highly recommend and a must do while holidaying in the area.
