Sloth's Territory er et privat reservat beliggende i El Tanque, mindre end 10 minutter fra La Fortuna centrum (Arenal Volcano). Stedet, der administreres af Rodriguez Perez-familien, er en virkelig perle med levende flora og fauna. Til vores natvandring, der starter kl. 18.00, er det det bedste tidspunkt at lede efter dyr med natlig adfærd. Under denne vandretur vil du have chancen for at se forskellige slags frøer, kinkajous, slanger, edderkopper, flagermus og til sidst: to- og tretåede dovendyr (men det er ikke fokus på denne specifikke vandretur). Mens natten starter, og himlen bliver fuld af stjerner, vil vores veluddannede guide holde dig sikker, mens du fortsætter vandreturen gennem vores ejendom. Stien er tilgængelig for alle aldre, så dette er en aktivitet, hvor hele familien kan nyde den. Varigheden af denne aktivitet er 1 og en halv til 2 timer. Turen inkluderer en uddannet guide under hele vandringen, med professionelt udstyr, en lommelygte til hver deltager, og vi slutter også af med en pause med at nyde sæsonens friske frugter. We had a great time on the tour! We saw so many sloths, even caught one moving. Our tour guide was very knowledgable. Kids loved the tour, they were engaged the whole time.
A very responsible way to see wildlife! Our tour guide was thoroughly knowledgeable and passionate about nature. We saw sloths (one with a baby) and some beautiful birds as well. We spent about 2 hours there, so it's a great activity to round out the day in La Fortuna.
This tour was incredible, and we saw so much more than just sloths (although we saw plenty of those -- I think we saw about ten of them, including two or three babies, and we saw the faces of 6-8 of the sloths)! In addition to the (surprisingly active) sloths, we also saw a toucan, poison dart frogs, leaf cutter ants, a rufous motmot, a cool lizard, and a pair of crested guans, as well as some interesting insects. Our guide, Ivania, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and skilled at her job. She did a great job of spotting things, got great photos and video of the animals for us, was very generous with her time, and was super fun to talk to. The time with her flew by, and we had an absolute blast, so much so that we recommended this tour to multiple other people we met while in other locations on our Costa Rica trip (and now we are recommending it to you! :) ).
Our guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and pointed out things we wouldn't have seen on our own
This is an easy flat walk through a nature preserve with one suspended bridge. We saw several (8??) sloths, some of which had babies, and many of which were active (eating, scratching, climbing) without any intervention from the tour guide. If a tour guide “whistles” at the sloth, that’s cruel behavior! This lets the sloths know a predator (a hawk) is coming. This company treats the sloths with respect! Our guide, Ivania, was incredible.

Ivania was fantastic and helped us see all the animals and get tons of pictures. The walk was easy enough and she was full of great information. We came on a Monday and it wasn't busy and it was just the two of us and it was great.
We really enjoyed this sloth tour! Ruben was a great guide and we were able to see many sloths, monkeys and even a poison dart frog. He made our experience fun and we would NEVER had been able to find the sloths on our own. The hike was nice, but not too long and we ended with some fresh fruit. Got some great photos also.
The tour guide, Bernal, made the tour very interesting. He spotted close to 10 sloths including sloths with their babies. He shared many interesting facts not only about sloths but also about the trails and about other animals such as various frogs and birds. Bernal was also very patient and helpful with pictures.
