Liverpool som by har så meget at byde på, og at være hjemsted for det bedste band i verden er selvfølgelig noget, vi ikke tager let på. På denne tour vil vi opsuge alt, der førte "The Beatles" til verdensomspændende superstjernestatus og finde ud af mere om de historier, der gjorde dem til dem, de er. Vi vil tage ind og udforske alt "Beatles" - fra Penny Lane til Strawberry Field og meget, meget mere!

Vi starter ved den ikoniske statue af Fab Four - John, Paul, George og Ringo. Dette er på en smuk beliggenhed ved Liverpools Pier-hoved lige ved floden Mersey. Omgivet af de historiske "3 Graces" bygninger er der masser at se og lære om i dette område og nogle fantastiske fotomuligheder.
Kunstskolen, som John Lennon gik på, som er nabo til gymnasiet, som Paul McCartney og George Harrison gik på. Her diskuterer vi bandets tidlige dage og ser tilbage til deres tid som "Quarry Men" og også spille i Hamborg Tyskland. Et smukt område af byens centrum omgivet af Liverpools to katedraler.
Et fotografi ved det ældste tilbageværende "Penny Lane"-vejskilt, som Paul McCartney for nylig underskrev. Vi diskuterer blandt andet, hvorfor Paul skrev sangen, og hvad den betød for ham. Derefter kører vi ned ad Penny Lane, mens vi selvfølgelig lytter til sangen og tager de omgivelser ind, som Paul lister op i sangen.
Johns smukke sang handlede om et sted, han plejede at besøge, og det sted er der heldigvis stadig den dag i dag. Nu et moderne besøgscenter, souvenirbutik og museum dedikeret til John (som stadig drives af Frelsens hær). Vi går en tur rundt i de smukke haver, som John plejede at besøge, og besøger også de berømte røde porte - og tager omgivelserne ind og diskuterer alt, hvad John har at gøre.
En unik beliggenhed, der har to specielle områder lige ved siden af hinanden. Stedet, hvor John og Paul mødtes første gang som teenagere, og også "Eleanor Rigbys" grav.
Som ung flyttede John til sin tante Mimi i et smukt hus, hvor hun opfostrede ham. Nu ejet og bevaret af National Trust.
Hjem til McCartney-familien gennem Pauls teenageår og også fødestedet for mange af deres tidlige hits. Paul og John brugte utallige timer her i huset på at skrive og øve.
Ringo var bestemt fra en ydmyg begyndelse og voksede op et sted, som han holder sit hjerte meget tæt på. Vi tjekker hans lille barndomshjem og også det fantastiske maleri af ham lige ved siden af.
Vi tager et kig på den mest berømte klub i verden "The Cavern" udefra - beliggende på Mathew Street. The Beatles spillede her 292 gange, og det var deres hjem og stedet, hvor de fik mange af deres tidlige tilhængere.
Besøg det første hjem, George boede i som en ung dreng, der voksede op i arbejderklassen i Liverpool, og udforsk hans ydmyge begyndelser.

My husband Dean and I had a fantastic private Beatles tour with Marc. We started at the Beatles statue and then visited Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, along with several other iconic locations connected to the band's history. What made the tour so special was Marc's incredible knowledge and storytelling. He shared fascinating facts, background, and personal details that brought the songs to life in a completely new way. His insights have actually changed the way I listen to Beatles music. I now catch references and meanings that I never understood before. One of my favorite moments was learning the story behind the lyric, "nothing to get hung about" from Strawberry Fields Forever. Now I can't help but giggle every time I hear it. Our tour guide was exceptional. He knew all sorts of Beatles history. As our tour progressed he played Beatles music significant to where we were located. I.E. played Penny Lane on Penny Lane road. At the end of the tour he dropped us off at a pub where we enjoyed Fish and Chips, and then walked back to our ship, after he gave us specific directions first. He told us we were lucky doing the tour early for the traffic wasn’t bad. Well done.

We only had one day in Liverpool since we took the train up from London. This tour is an absolute must for not only Beatles fans, but also anyone interested in history. Our guide, Mark, rightly told us that you cannot understand the Beatles and their music without understanding Liverpool and our city tour was so insightful. Lots of cool surprises, We then took in all of the Beatles sights and were in no way disappointed. Mark was so knowledgeable and full of personality. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone whether you are staying in Liverpool or just up for a day trip.
