Using the app for the program is a little cluncky. It doesn't give you exact instructions, instead you have to figure it out. The tour itself, So much to see and not enough time. It was said this is a 1.5 hour tour, I found that we were there for at least 5 hours.
I booked the fast track entry to the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel. The official entry ticket is c.€20 but I paid £65 for the ticket + fast track. That is quite a mark up. However, the CityWonders staff were very efficient, and extremely helpful, charming and friendly. I was through the entry queue in less than 10 minutes. I would not hesitate to use CityWonders again. Excellent and trustworthy company with great staff.
The guide did not communicate the procedure for entry. They did not give me the ticket I needed for entry. When I presented my online barcode they wouldn't let me in. The guides were nowhere to be seen when I looked for them.

We only booked the skip-the-line audio tour guide ticket. Honest opinion - 84 € per person is not worth it. Vatican Museum ticket itself costs 25 €. Most disappointing was the audioguide, many rooms were not covered with the audio and where it had info, it was so very short overall basic info. We instead downloaded Rick Steves FREE Europe audioguide and enjoyed the tour without payed app and guidance. Skip-the-line ticket did work (you will get the ticket from tour company’s employee, which takes a bit time). For the Vatican Museum waiting line, we went accurately on the time we had on ticket and waited in a long-long line, which went fast, around 8 minutes to get in. Afternoon the line was in a shade, so no problem waiting.

The self guided tour is clunky to use and does not follow you throughout the tour so you have to constantly try to figure out where you are and then select the correct audio tour.

Super simple way to enter the museum with ease. Was easy to find the guide, who provided us with the audio guide and we could then take our time through the museum and chapel. We enjoyed that it was self guided, but supported by some fantastic audio information. Would definitely recommend! Was a stunning, grandiose experience

Very disappointed with this experience. My husband and I found the self-guided tour difficult to navigate, and it didn’t flow smoothly at all. I repeatedly had to scroll through the app to figure out which section of the exhibit I was standing in so I could find the corresponding information. Instead of being able to focus on and enjoy the museum, I was constantly trying to navigate the app. I also felt the tour provided very limited information and didn’t cover enough of the museum. For the price, I expected a much more comprehensive and informative experience. I was also disappointed that headphones were not provided. Additionally, the guide we met could not walk us up to the entrance gate, which made the experience feel less organized than expected. The advertised “no wait” entry was also misleading, as there was still a long line. Overall, the experience was frustrating and not worth the money. I would not recommend this tour.

Our guide, Leo, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and made our tour exceptional.
The audio is only an app on a smart phone, which you better remember to download ahead of time when you have reception or WiFi. Difficult to see the map on a phone (too small) and hard to follow. I would have preferred using the audio guide of the museum much, much better.
