Italo was amazing! Very informative tour and he was open to answering all of our questions. It was very hot and crowded so watching him maneuvering the crowd was great! Definitely worth booking! Grazie!
It can get hot and there is not a lot of shade. Wear a hat or bring an umbrella in the summertime. Also apply good sunscreen.
Our private tour of Pompeii with Italo was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. He gave us a real sense of what everyday life was like in Pompeii nearly 2,000 years ago. We were traveling with our kids, and Italo was wonderful with them. He kept them interested and involved, answered all of their questions, and knew exactly when to add some humor. He was incredibly kind, personable, and patient with our entire family. Having a private guide also made a huge difference. In just two hours, we saw an amazing amount without ever feeling rushed, and Italo knew exactly where to take us and what details we would have completely missed on our own. Lello is the king of tour guides in Pompei! He has encyclopedic knowledge, yet is very clear and humorous. His guided tour was the highlight of our entire holiday in Italy! If you're touring Pompeii, ask for Italo. His passion for the place was obvious from the start, and it made the whole tour so much fun. By the end, we could actually identify the different types of buildings ourselves, which felt awesome. We never once felt rushed. It honestly felt like a good friend was showing us around, not just a guide reciting facts. Can't recommend Italo enough!

Visiting Pompeii Archaeological Park was already on my bucket list, but this tour made the experience unforgettable. Our guide wasn't just a tour guide—he is a renowned archaeologist who has worked on the Pompeii excavations for decades. Learning directly from someone who has dedicated so much of his career to uncovering and studying this incredible ancient city brought history to life in a way no guidebook or audio tour ever could. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling transformed every street, home, and artifact into a fascinating piece of history. We had a transportation issue and we almost had to cancel, but they were able to accommodate the group, which is more than kind of them. Truly a gem! If you truly want to understand Pompeii and not just walk through it, this is the tour to book. Great guide who was excellent with children and explaining history in a fun way for all ages. She was absolutely great! I loved that she avoided the large groups and kept us in more intimate areas as to not feel overwhelmed or overheated.
