Falkejagtens kunst blev introduceret til Europa gennem karavaner fra Persien og Arabien, hvor denne jagtteknik stadig praktiseres i dag. Oplev et tæt møde med majestætiske rovfugle ved Falconry i Locarno, hvor du vil kunne observere og fotografere ørne, høge, ugler og gribbe. Disse smukke fugle, der flyver frit, vil føre dig ind i en dimension, hvor menneske og natur mødes, på et naturligt og dyrevenligt sted. Nyd det betagende show! Kom og besøg os når som helst. Vi sørger for beskyttede siddepladser, både til de solrige sommerdage eller de få regnfulde! Alle åbningsdage afholdes show med rovfugle på ca. 1 time kl. 11 og 15. Tribunen huser 600 siddende gæster.

Definitely worth a couple of hours of your time when you visit Locarno. They are very experienced and put on a good show. Would suggest to arrive shortly before 11am, to enjoy the show that starts at 11am and then explore a little bit/take photos. There is no need to buy tickets in advance! They promote the tickets online as avoiding the queue…but in reality when you arrive there is only one queue to enter the place, so you will need to queue up behind people who haven’t bought a ticket yet. The show was quite enjoyable and the birds can really fly up VERY close to you. I had the American Bald eagle fly straight over my head.
The park is splendid, the staff adorable and the birds magnificent, the only small downside is the horse trained in the old-fashioned way... that is just my opinion!

The air show is great! The birds fly close to your head. The rest of the facility is nice, but not worth it on its own—but the air show is the highlight.
Unfortunately, the Falconeria itself does not have much to offer and everything seems to be in a relatively small space (even for the animals); however, the show with the birds of prey was a great experience and is highly recommended. You can see the professionalism of the staff and also learn a lot about the birds themselves.

We are thrilled with this trip! The show is fantastic and our lunch was also excellent. Highly recommended are the spotted smooth stems.
