We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Prathima was a great guide and made the entire experience very interactive and accommodating. There was a lot of flexibility and we were able to see everything we wanted to!
Hi, Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re so glad you had an enjoyable and flexible experience, and that everything you wanted to see was covered. Delighted to hear Prathima made it interactive and accommodating—hope to host you again soon!
Had a most enjoyable 60km ride with Sunil who does this on a freelance basis with Unventured. During the ride, I was able to soak in a more rural Bengaluru environment and see how the rural locals live. Sunil answered my many questions about the place, the people and the culture. Nice finish at Nandi Hills where we got to enjoy some of the historical sights there. The bikes were fit for purpose. We went through mixed terrain. It was mostly paved roads but also some dirt road and roads that were filled with potholes. The support car is always a phone call away. Very convenient to place extra snacks and water in the car and refill as needed. Weather was nice and cool the first couple of hours. It did get a bit hotter thereafter. Perhaps a shorter ride will capture the best balance of seeing the sights, having a good workout, and nice cool weather. Would strongly recommend Unventured and Sunil. Thanks for a memorable ride!
Hi, Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the ride and got to experience a different, more rural side of Bengaluru. It’s great to hear that Sunil made the journey engaging and insightful, and that you appreciated the mixed terrain and support setup along the way. We also value your note on ride duration and weather—it’s a helpful perspective for future riders. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to have you join us again for another memorable ride!
I was picked up on my fist day by a driver that spoke very little English and despite our best efforts, it was hard to communicate. As it was just him and me on Day 1, at times it was hard to ask questions, but then again he was a driver, not a tour guide. We had a great breakfast. We visited pretty much all of the locations on my itinerary, except out of order to what was originally planned. Highlights were the toy factory at Channapatna and Tipu Sultans Palace. My guide for the next day, Pravalika turned up early evening on Day 1 at my hotel without prior arrangement. I had had a long day and had already got changed for bed so it was not convenient - if I had known in advance she was coming it would have been better and Day 2 may have run smoother. Day 2 after pickup from the hotel, we made the first stop to Chamundi Hill to visit the temple. It was a Saturday, the busiest day of the week and we spent hours there, getting parking, making way through crowds, getting tickets, queuing etc. so much of the morning was sucked up by that, that we had to cut other things out. I told the guide I had to leave Mysore by 4pm to drive back to Bangalore. Pravalika told me it was her first time guiding, and that was very obvious. She did not have the experience to know how much time would be needed at each itinerary stop. We missed the Devaraja market, the soda factory, and the Silk weaving place (the last one was by my choice as I had already seen one in Bangalore). I did add in a stop to see St Philomenas church, which was very brief as I was conscious of time. We had a lovely lunch at a favourite place of Pravalika’s. We spent time at the stone carving place Pravalika worked at which was interesting and of course visited the Palaces. I had to ask Pravalika to tell our driver in the afternoon he had bad body odor and needed to change his shirt which was very awkward (for everyone I’m sure!). So all and all it was a mixed experience which differed greatly from my first Auto tour in Bangalore with Unventured the year before. The big difference was in the experience of the guides. All were such lovely people but the inexperience of the Mysore tour guide impacted how the tour flowed and my overall experience.
Hi Kathryn, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review — and for coming back to Unventured after your Bengaluru auto tour last year. We’re genuinely sorry that your Mysuru experience felt mixed, and that parts of it put you in the position of managing things you should never have had to manage. You’re absolutely right to call out the gaps: Communication on Day 1 should have been easier, even if it was “just” transport. We should have set expectations clearly and ensured you had smoother support when it was only you and the driver. Pravalika arriving at your hotel without prior arrangement wasn’t okay. After a long day, that kind of surprise visit is intrusive — and it likely set the tone for Day 2. Chamundi Hill on a busy Saturday needed better judgement and time-boxing from us. If you’ve told us you need to leave Mysuru by 4pm, our job is to protect that commitment and plan the flow around it. Most importantly: the driver readiness issue (including hygiene) should never have landed on you to address. That was uncomfortable and unfair, and we’re sorry. Pravalika did care and she was excited to do a good job — and that matters. But intention doesn’t erase impact, and this is on us. We put a first-time guide into a situation where she didn’t yet have the pacing instincts, logistical confidence, and behind-the-scenes support that makes a tour feel effortless. We’re taking your feedback as clear pointers on what we need to tighten immediately: pre-tour communication and scheduling, more realistic time planning (especially on peak-crowd days), and stricter driver standards and checks. We’re also putting stronger mentoring and on-ground support in place so Pravalika is set up for success as she grows into this role. We also appreciate you sharing the bright spots — breakfast, Channapatna, Tipu Sultan’s Palace, lunch, the stone carving stop, and the palaces. You deserved a day where the flow matched those highlights. If you’re open to it, we’d love to stay in touch. And when you’re back in Bengaluru, we’d genuinely love to host you on a Unventured tour and give you the kind of seamless experience you expected from us.
I was so impressed by this tour. My guide was knowledgable and I really enjoyed the whole day. What was best were the experiences that I definitely would not have found on my own. We got off the beaten path and took in all that Mysore had to offer, Thank you!
Midhu was a standout guide. The tour to Mysore was one of the best tours I have had. It was packed with amazing things and still felt leisurely. One of the reasons I chose this tour was because it involves a few stops I didn't see on other Mysore daytrips - namely the Channapatna toy makers and the silk pellets+factories. Those ended up being my favorite experiences! Midhu did a great job of giving us enough information to keep us interested and in wonderment, without inundating us with too much. She was able to answer to our curiosities very well, and was great company through the day. The entry tickets, meals, and drive were handled very smoothly and we did not have to worry about much! Grateful for this day!
Hi Alisha, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to know that your Mysore tour turned out to be such a memorable one. The stops at Channapatna and the silk workshops are indeed special highlights, and we’re glad they stood out for you. It’s wonderful to hear that Midhu made the day both engaging and relaxed, and that everything from the planning to the experiences flowed smoothly for you. We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to hosting you on more explorations in the future!
Had an excellent day - Gladys was the perfect tour guide for a day trip to Mysore. Having her guide me allowed me to feel comfortable as a female solo traveler in a new place, and she fit so much more in a single day than I would have been able to plan on my own. I learned so much at each stop while still having time to explore and ask my own questions. Thanks for a fantastic day!
Hi Kiley, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear that Gladys made your day in Mysore both comfortable and enriching. It was a very nice tour with an even more awesome tour guide. The spots they took us for food, tours and important sights within the city was great and exactly what we asked for. Look no further if you want an easy, non complicated billing process and friendly guides with everything you’re looking for in Mysuru !

My second trip with Unventured after being impressed with the Bengaluru walking tour. This day trip was a long drive but worth it to see Mysore and other parts of India outside the city. Ajith was my guide today and very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was taken care of throughout the day with local stops for breakfast, lunch and sweets. So many sites to see but Mysore Palace and the Toy Factory were my favorites. Take this trip! See more of this large and beautiful country while learning its history. Unventured is a great tour company who worked with me and are very accommodating.
Thank you for joining us for a second Unventured adventure! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed exploring Mysore and beyond, and we’re especially glad the highlights like the Mysore Palace and Toy Factory made an impression. Your appreciation for India’s beauty and history means a lot to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more journeys!
It was memorable tour and experience to mysore and other places enroute to Mysore. Lot of unknown and interesting facts were provided by the Trip guide Ms. Midhu and she was so enthusiastic and been engaging with the tourists. Thanks for great insights into the history of the city
The guide really know what he talked about. It was really interesting to see all these local businesses and of course Mysuru Palace with all the architecture, a truly amazing peace of history.
