SINTRA – CABO DA ROCA – CASCAIS: En magisk flugt

We had an incredible tour experience from Lisbon to Sintra, Cascais, and Cabo da Roca with our guide, Nuno. Traveling with my two kids, I truly appreciated how friendly, polite, and attentive he was throughout the entire day. He is extremely knowledgeable and shared so many interesting insights, making every stop even more meaningful. Nuno really went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much as possible without ever feeling rushed. One of the highlights was visiting Monserrate Palace and its beautiful gardens—such a great addition and much less crowded than Pena Palace. He also took us to the Miradouro de Santa Eufémia, where the views were absolutely stunning. To top it all off, he kindly made us a lunch reservation at an amazing beachfront restaurant, Mestre Zé, which was truly a 10/10 experience. I can’t thank Nuno enough for such a memorable day. It was an incredible experience all around, and I highly recommend this tour!

We had an incredible time exploring Sintra and the historic palace with João and Miguel! Our group of eight phenomenal women was in the best hands. Despite storm-related road closures that limited access to the palace we originally planned to see, they pivoted seamlessly and curated an amazing experience for us. Exploring the charming city center and the stunning National Palace of Sintra was the perfect introduction to old Portugal. Miguel’s detailed storytelling and genuine passion for the history truly brought everything to life. We also visited Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, and ended the tour with a beautiful lunch by the beach — the perfect finale. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We absolutely recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to have João and Miguel as your guides, you’re in for something special!

In June of 2025, my wife and I spent a month in Setubal, Portugal. Rui Cristo from Look Around Tours took us on a truly magical trip to Sintra & Cascais. His knowledge and expertise of the area made our trip to Pena Palace, the Palace at Mostserrate, and the various stops along the coastline a truly unforgettable experience. The breathtaking pictures we took traveling along the coast will constantly remind us of the natural beauty of the area. The wind-swept landscape, the high cliffs, the wind, the enormity, and the power of the ocean were awe-inspiring. Our tours through the palaces give us a glimpse of day-to-day living. Our tour guide in Porto was great—showed up right on time and really knew the city well, being a local. We appreciated that the tour focused more on lesser-known spots rather than just the typical tourist areas. One of the more interesting stops was a cork tree, which we didn’t expect to see and ended up learning a bit about. Overall, it was a nice way to get a different perspective on the city without feeling too scripted or touristy.

Our tour guide Andre and his driver Pedro were amazing! They were flexible, patient and very friendly. Andre has a great knowledge of Lisbon and its surroundings, he took us to the best sites in Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais etc. If you are visiting Lisbon, this tour is definitely a must, and Andre is the right tour guide for you and your group. A+++ service.

This was the best way to see Sintra, Cape Roca qnd Cascais with an excellent guide! Pako was so knowledgeable, made us really comfortable and took us to some of the best places! Would highly highly recommend Pako and will definitely be reaching out to him for our next trip!

Our tour guide Pako made the trip so great! The conversation and stories were great, not to mention his knowledge of the locations we visited! The sites were beautiful and interesting and the restaurant we went to for lunch was delicious! Highly recommend requesting him!

Pedro was our driver and guide. Absolutely wonderful! He picked us up from the cruise ship and started our journey with a trip to Sintra. Did the highlights as well as "off the beaten path". Gave us tips and tricks for each place. It was fabulous to know he was nearby whenever we were ready to leave or needed anything. Cascais was nice but seemed to be a little busy for us. We opted for Guincho Beach where we enjoyed a lovely lunch and watched the waves ( and learned that I really enjoy Port and Tonic)! Then off to Cape Roca (the western most point in Europe). We asked to stop at a fire department. Not a problem! It was a wonderful day, would highly recommend. Even days after our tour we reached out with some questions on places or "the name of that liquor?". I just text him to get the name of the beach without thinking about the 9 hrs ahead (sorry about that Pedro). 10/10 would def do it again!!

I booked this tour with Pedro after spending the previous day with him on a winner tour! We had such an amazing time that we booked him again for the next day! Originally I booked with another company, they cancelled last minute due to a strike at pena palace. This was our last day in Lisbon, and we were heartbroken to go home without seeing pena palace☹️ Pedro said he could take us to Sinatra and Cascais for a full day of castles and coastline views! We got to see pena palace from afar. We visited quinta de regaleira which was amazing. Pedro made lunch reservations for us at a locals spot. We could customize our day, as in another castle, stop for sangria along the ocean. Pedro was awesome!!! I would hands down book another tour with him!!!!!!

I made a tour with tour guide Tony, he was attentive, punctual and has knowledge of the tour. Great.
