We had an amazing trek with Adventures Unlimited. Catherine was exceptionally helpful in helping us choose our trek and was very quick with her replies to all my emails and questions! Our guide, Nikhil, was very knowledgeable and personable. He looked after us very well throughout the trek. We would definitely recommend them.
An amazing trek, highly recommended. Organisation was great from Adventures Unlimited and our guide, Jigmay, took really good care of us. We experienced cloud, rain, thunderstorms, and finally clear views of the mountains at Phallut. Along the way we could take time to appreciate the rhododendrons, the bird watching and the views of the hilltops and forests. Locals and fellow trekkers we met along the way were very friendly and we enjoyed getting to know a little bit the local people and culture

In February we used Adventures Unlimited to plan our stay in Darjeeling. The centrepiece of the stay was the Darjeeling Singalila Ridge trek...a 6-day journey through the hills and forests of the Singalila National Park. From the very first contact with the firm we were supported and reassured at every turn by timely and clear communication with Catherine. Even when we experienced some travel issues on our side she was always responsive to our needs. The trek itself was a fantastic exploration of a the area and we enjoyed a wonderful six days. Our guide Tenzi and porter, Prakash were friendly, attentive, and very professional. They really made the experience memorable. The highlight was an early-morning hike at Phalut where we has an amazing view of 4 of the 5 highest mountains in the world... Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu. Unforgettable. I have no hesitation on recommending Adventures Unlimited for anyone seeking an authentic trekking experience with a company that is embedded in the community and that supports local drivers, guides, porters, and hospitality providers.
Our family of five went on a 4 day Sandakphu/Sinigalila trek organized by Adventures Unlimited over the New Year holiday and it was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. Catherine helped with all the arrangements beforehand, was always prompt to respond to emails and made sure that we had everything we needed for the trip, including the rental of 5 down jackets and walking poles. She even included fresh coffee and hot water bottles for a special touch and added comfort. Tenzi, our guide is very well educated and a knowledgable naturalist. He patiently identified many beautiful birds and plants, and shared local lore. For New Year's day he even organized karaoke at the camp, it was so much fun! We also had a porter named Mahon who was so kind and very positive. They both enriched our experience so much. We were fortunate to have excellent weather and enjoyed incredible panoramic views of the tallest peaks in the world. We all had the best New Year's ever and will cherish the memories always. Thank you to the whole team!!
A real trip highlight, the Singalila Trek from Darjeeling was exceptional, made even better by Adventures Unlimited’s careful organisation, brilliant guide (Tenzi), and thoughtful consideration. We were lucky with clear skies, and saw some of the world’s most majestic peaks - Everest, Kanchenjunga and the highest peak in Bhutan, but in fact, the journey was just as good as those photo moments. Tenzi was super knowledgeable about the local bird life and flora. We highly recommend that customers choose to book with Adventures Unlimited, as they prioritise using local guides (who know the land) and stays at local home stays, ensuring the rural community benefits from the tourism in and around Darjeeling. This gives a better and more intimate experience to customers whilst ensuring responsible tourism and good guide welfare. Would highly recommend - remember to pack layers as it’s cold at the top!
We had a great time in Darjeeling. The guide adapted the tour to our physical needs and availability. Communication with Catherine was smooth throughout, and she made sure everything went well. The stay high up in the mountains was very pleasant, definitely a must in India!
Catherine from adventures unlimited was extremely helpful and accommodating and, despite the weather not being ideal, our guide was excellent. He had great local knowledge of flora and fauna and was very friendly. We would totally recommend to others visitors to Darjeeling.
We had an amazing time in India and would throughly recommend anyone to travel to the NE region of India. The trekking in Singalila was amazing, with snowy peaks and dense forest. Adventures Unlimited provided an excellent and proactive approach, helping us organise our holiday. We couldn’t recommend them enough.
It's great Trek through enchanted forest. We had amazing time with our guide Jigme he is very charming and peaceful. In spring time it's best for flower and birds watching in autumn for mountains.
