It is a very long tour to Sheki, but the time spent there is about 2 hours. The tour description is also not accurate as the lake is not included. The tour guide was ok, could give more information on the places visited. Unless you really want to see Sheki with a limited time, this tour could be an option
I’m from Singapore. My tour guide Riad from My Tour Baku is a star! A good guide needs good knowledge and people skills. Riad not only has both, he also has passion for his profession, and pride and love for Azerbaijan. He came to the tour well prepared. For example, he brought old and new Azerbaijani bank notes and pictures to explain the symbols. He could have just shown us some pictures on his phone, but he wanted us to feel the notes and pictures. While other guides gave a brief introduction of the country or place, Riad gave a comprehensive historical overview. His passion is obvious. He didn’t just want us to take some photos and go home without knowing the places we visit better. During the trip, he even quizzed some of us (to see if we were listening). His English is impeccable. And he also speaks Azerbaijani, Russia and Turkey. He switched with ease to different languages for us from different countries. He brought tea in a hot thermal and paper cups for each of us. He is warm and fun. I saw he interacted warmly also with people he knew in the places we visited. He joked during the trip and we laughed a lot. He played a song (kind of ode to Azerbaijan) and sang along. And he played Parkiatani and Chinese songs too. He belted put Chinese Kong Fu song Huang Feihong in the car, which put me in stitches. 😅 you should see the way his facial muscles stained from trying to pronounce the words 😂 he shows genuine interest in other cultures. He is helpful too, not only in the tour. After I left Baku, I asked for his help to speak to my taxi driver, he readily agreed. I wish Riad all the best in his profession! Thank you Riad 🙏
We had an amazing time with our guide Riad. We learned basically all there is to know about Azerbaijan and honestly everything surrounding it. Our group was lovely and Riad went above and beyond to make our time as memorable and mesmerising as it was. His language skills left us speechless, very impressive! Thanks for everything! Seki was beautiful and benefited from Riad too
This was unforgattable tour, memorable experiences With Riyad! We highly recommend you to join him! We enjoued every moment, Riyad added detailed stories about the history and geography of the places and the authentic daily life of the people. It was a wonderful tour with extraordinary nature, places and excellent lunch near the lake. It was a pleasure!
Our tour was with Riad who was excellent. He had a very good knowledge of the places we were visiting plus he took us through the history of Azerbaijan when we had free time travelling in the car. Riad is passionate about what he does and has graduated in history so he can talk about any topic. The tour itself was very good, we had a prompt start and the places we visited were worth travelling the distance. We started around 7.30 and reached our hotel around 20.30. The lunch was amazing and the venue of the lunch was very picturesque. I would recommend this tour!
Early start for a long drive to Sheki. Fog, drizzle, clouds, sunhine - so many changes along the journey. Excellent coffee and lunch stops. Experienced, professional driver and friendly, informative guide made for a memorable day.
I took part to 2 tour with this agency and they were wonderful! One was the tour of Baku (fire temple, mud volcano etc) the other was to Sheki. The guides Reza and Riad were both amazing and very well prepared, they made us enjoy the tour with fun and curiosity. I really reccomend them and this agency to explore the country and appreciate the history of it
Very interesting tour with a very knowledgeable Guide Ride could have been better with a more comfortable car
Sheki is a fabulous city far away in the mountains of Azerbaijan, where the majestic Palace of Shekin Khans. I recommend it! An interesting tour, almost tireless, well organized. You liked Riad the tour guide and Alvin the driver, I'll go with them again! Sheki is a magical corner of Azerbaijan, where every stone preserves history and the air is soaked in the aroma of Oriental sweets. Here, ancient palaces, mountain scenery and a unique craft create an atmosphere of fairytale time travel. The Juma Mosque in Shamakh is not just a temple but a living witness to thousands of years of history. Well, lunch on the shore of Lake Nohur in Gabala is almost Ritsa, rested beautifully! You won't.
We did two tours via the company, Sheki and the candy mountain. On both tours guides and drivers were amazing, big thank you for Sabina, Elmer and Riad .
