This was a great trip and the guide Nazir was incredibly knowledgeable. It is, however, a very long day, so be prepared for that.

This was a great trip and the guide Nazir was incredibly knowledgeable. It is, however, a very long day, so be prepared for that.
The tour to Sheki was planned absolutely reliably and professionally from start to finish. A big compliment goes to the guide Seyidaga: He was incredibly personable, presented his home country with a lot of enthusiasm and expertise, and took excellent care of all the fellow travelers. Anyone who likes relaxed group tours is in the right place here. A heartfelt thank you to Seyidaga and the driver for this successful day!
I went on a day trip to Sheki with Seyid as our tour guide. He was an amazing guide, highly knowledgeable and speaks multiple languages including English and Turkish fluently. Highly recommended the trip to Sheki if you are visiting Baku and definitely you have to book it with Seyid.
Our guide Nazir was very polite and has very good knowledge of the history of Azerbaijan. He shared some important information along our way to Sheki. The whole trip lasted for roughly 14 hours (including 9h30m round-trip to Sheki). We have stopped several times on the road to have breakfast, tea and then lunch. The price for visiting the Sheki Khan's Palace and the Albanian Church is 15 AZN each, whereas the breakfast is 9 AZN and lunch 19 AZN. All of them are optional though, but they worth getting, as they are an important part of the experience. I will share some pictures and videos of my trip.
Day Tour to Sheki (Azerbaijan) with Oguz from ATI I recommend for 💯 points! The excursion from meeting point till last minute was with very professional guiding service, the driver was very professional too! 💪Thankful to you both, guys, from all of 13 people from our group!🙏🫶 Tea with sweets x 3 during the day!☕️🍯🍪For next groups - remember that you need to pay extra money for all entry tickets (15manatx2=30manat) and lunch will be at the private restaurant with very good location, the cost approximately 19-20 manat per person 🍽️
We went to Sheki with this tour and we were very happy. The trip itself was very long, however that is understandable since the city of Sheki is far away from Baku. Although the road trip to Sheki was long, there were multiple stops along the way and they were very interesting and the time spent in the bus between stops was balanced perfectly. In the begging of the tour, you can choose whether you want to go to the market or to a restaurant to try Azerbaijani breakfast. Our tour chose the market, therefore I cannot comment on the breakfast. After about two hours, we stoped for a tea break in a nice little restaurant in a forest and we got to try traditional Azerbaijani sweets and overall it was great just to sit in nature and stretch your legs after the bus ride. The restroom was free in both places. After that there were not any stops untill we arrived to Sheki. In Sheki we got to see the beautiful local architecture and afterwards we went to a restaurant, which was situated in one of the historical buildings near the Armenian church. The food there was great not only for the value and price, which is btw not included in the tour, but also for the historic atmosphere. A kind local lady will explain to you the history of the meal and how to eat it traditionally, which is great. The meal itself was great, although a bit unusual for us, however we enjoyed it very much with beer on tap. After the meal we had to return to Baku and we got back around 9PM. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore more of Azerbaijan than just Baku. Our guide was Nuray, who was very kind, helpfull and a great guide. She talked about Azerbaijani history, traditions and other interesting stuff. We really enjoyed our tour with her and if you happen to have her as your guy, you will not regret it.
Absolutely lovely day and special thanks to the guide NAS- who loves her job and that is what made to day so special 💪 the driver king took us everywhere safe and perfectly on time. Totally recommend this tour to anyone
she was very professional explaining everything in detail she was wonderful very helpful, she try her best to talk to my friend in spanish ,she show us how to eat the traditional food , she made the trip very enjoyable,I absolutely love her she was great.
I am acutely aware of the impact that not sharing a five star review can have on businesses and people’s livelihoods, but I also think the primary purpose of a review is to be helpful for other travellers. Therefore, I want to be as fair and balanced as possible and don’t like having pressure placed on me to leave a five star review. First, the pros. You definitely get your money’s worth on this trip! You leave at 7am and don’t return to Baku until 10:30pm (at least we didn’t). You get to see amazing scenery along the way and the guides were definitely energetic and enthusiastic. Hats off to the driver who negotiated heavy traffic and a long day of driving. Then the cons. This trip didn’t really deliver what I expected. It was no fault of the guides, just that this tour tries to do too much in too little time! If your focus is to see the sights of Sheki (like mine was), then this trip is NOT for you. There are a lot of stops there and back. You waste an hour having breakfast, an hour having lunch and then stop for baclava, tea and more tea on the way back. More time is spent having tea in the middle of nowhere than free time at the Palace of Sheki Khans and the Caravanserai. The Viator website advertised 90 minutes at each place, but it’s only in retrospect when you realise how far Sheki is from Baku, that this is not possible. We spent 90 minutes in Sheki in total, and we literally had 8 minutes to take photos of the Caravanserai after the information was delivered before being taken to lunch. I had planned on skipping lunch so I would have more time to explore Sheki but sadly this was not possible, as the lunch was in Kiş. The tour was not set up to appropriately accommodate those not wanting to take lunch. We also seemed to waste valuable time dropping off and picking up other guests from some mountain resort, which was odd as it wasn’t snow season. All in all, I found the trip a big investment of time for very little return, given my focus was to take photos of Sheki and soak up the atmosphere. There was nothing inherently wrong with the tour, just make sure it’s what you really want before booking. If your focus is Sheki, I would recommend overnighting in Sheki or hiring a driver so you can tailor the trip to your needs. Other things to note. There was a Russian and English speaking guide. This meant that if we passed places of interest while the Russian guide was talking, the English speaking passengers missed out on the explanation. I would also suggest that there be less talking. It’s a fine balance between providing targeted impactful information and talking for the sake of it. Maybe I was just grumpy because my partner got food poisoning the night before and wasn’t able to join me on the trip. One final observation - another passenger had motion sickness and asked to sit in the front seat. This request was denied. I thought this demonstrated a lack of flexibility and appreciation for the passenger’s situation and the impact that a sick passenger can have on other passengers.
It was a wonderful experience, all arrangments were as per plan, staff and tour guide was so friendly and nice
