Shark Explorers

Great day out! We are from Brisbane so have some experience snorkelling/diving reef and other marine ecosystems. Visibility wasn’t great, even though the weather was magic but the crew and admin staff were awesome! Really nice and cared about our experience and safety. We had 20 sharks! Many were at least the length of the cage. The cage was a great experience, even though the water was cold. Would definitely do this again and highly recommend the professional, friendly staff at Shark Explorers. They provided wetsuits with hoods, dive boots and towels. Very helpful not to have to bring our own gear. I still brought my diving gloves for the cold water but not necessary if you can handle cold water. Bring warm clothes to change into as the wind can kick up a bit and we went in Winter.

I couldn’t recommend this experience more. I had second thoughts and the staff was more than accepting of me opting out of the cage and I had a great time watching from the boat. If you are on the fence or unsure if you want in, the boat still had incredible view. We saw sharks, seals, and a pod of over 1,500 dolphins. It was truly an amazing experience. Additionally, Lindy was very easy to communicate with, and Warren did our door to door transport which was so stress free. Thank you all!

This experience was amazing! From start to finish, the staff was kind, helpful and safe. Securing a pickup/dropoff from our hotel was super easy. We saw lots of sharks, dolphins & seals- exactly what we wanted. 10/10 recommend this!

Everything was fantastic, our pickup driver so friendly, the check in process very smooth, there were hot/cold beverages available at the store and drinks with snacks on the boat. The staff very skilled and knowledgeable. I had an amazing time, I will definitely do it again and highly recommend this place to everyone!!

We had an absolutely amazing time with Shark Explorers. We did this with our three kids (ages 10, 8, and 6) and they could not have made it more fun for them. From the kids getting to feed birds in flight next to the boat, to helping them get their equipment on, to encouraging them when they got nervous, everyone was so amazing. We saw hundreds of dolphins, three whales, seals, and lots of sharks. This tour met all my expectations and more!

What an incredible experience! Shark cage diving has always been on my bucket list, and I can finally say I’ve scratched it off. From start to finish, the crew was absolutely amazing—fun, caring, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They made everyone feel comfortable and safe while still keeping the excitement alive. A special mention to Captain Stef, who was fantastic. His experience and confidence were evident throughout the trip, and it was clear that he and the entire crew knew exactly what they were doing. Their passion for what they do really shines through and made the whole experience even more memorable. Seeing these magnificent creatures up close was both thrilling and humbling. It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and thankful to the entire team for making it such a special adventure. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience !

What an amazing experience ! The experience in whole for our first time was exceptional. Everyone was so amazing and the warm welcome you get from everyone is as if you are part of the family. I wasn’t sure if this bucket list to do was one of my fears and turns out it was not, mainly because of how comfortable I was made. Before I forget… we got to see thousands of dolphins and whales. What an experience ! The communication and interaction was on point . Let’s just say I’d do it again! Shout out to Shark explorers and Rascals pub and grill . If I didn’t meet Stef at Rascals, we would not have had the opportunity to experience this

The whole experience from the beginning. Good service and friendly and knowledgeable staff at the office or where we gathered. Then to see a whale on its way out to where we would come to. To see sharks at such close range was amazing. Everyone who comes to South Africa should experience this. Clearly five stars

Firstly we must shoutout to Lindy, a lovely, caring lady who supported us with providing a private and quite location to join a live video feed of a family event. The whole team were fantastic throughout, particularly Ernest. This was an amazing experience with a well organised, safe and fun team of people. Everything went seamlessly. We saw a breaching whale on the way to our shark site. You can clearly see the sharks from the boat, we had over a dozen Bronze whaler sharks around the cage and had just over 20 minutes in the cage, inches away from the sharks. What an amazing experience with a great group of people. Highly recommended.

Superb! The team is top-notch, very cheerful, and provides good explanations. We saw dolphins, sharks, seals, and even a whale!
