Vær forberedt på en lang, men fantastisk dag!
Vores første destination for i dag er Budva i Montenegro, før vi kommer dertil, vil vi gøre et stop nær Sveti Stefan, historisk en fiskerby på en lille ø nær kysten. Men i dag er det ikke muligt at besøge øen længere, da den er blevet til et eksklusivt feriested. Selv når Sveti Stefan står på kysten er det et syn for ømme øjne - et billede værd.
Vi kører mod Budva, et populært turistmål, berømt for sine strande, smukke natur og gamle karakteristiske bygninger. Byen er adskilt mellem en gammel og ny del. På den ene side er der i New Budva mange moderne bygninger, kontorer, indkøbscentre, restauranter og barer.
Gamle Budva, der er det historiske centrum og mange seværdigheder at besøge, såsom St. Ivan kirken, den lille kirke St. Mary og middelalderpragten i den gamle bydel, som vi vil besøge på denne tur.
Vores anden destination i dag er Kotor, UNESCOs verdensarvssted. Byen er en labyrint af smalle brostensbelagte gader, der krydser den gamle bydel. Hensigten var at forvirre ubudne gæster, der kom for at plyndre byen, mens det nu om dage præger byen. Mange af de gamle bygninger og kirker har små tavler med deres byggedatoer og oprindelige brug.

The trip was advertised as an 8 to 10 hour tour. First, the actual time was 15 hours. Second, it wasn't a "tour". We just had a "driver"..
Montenegro's coastline is stunning and the old towns in both stops are incredible. Our driver and guide, Klodian was perfect for this very long day over bumpy roads. He tended to our needs and wants on this trip. He was very informative but not overwhelming us with too much information. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe with him. We enjoyed his company. Understand that this is a very long, and bumpy road trip as they are working on roadways. But if you want a chance to visit another country without the drive, then this is the way to go.
Klondike is an excellent guide who did not overload us with information. All of our needs were met and he checked our comfort often. He catered the trip to our wishes and is an extremely safe driver! Montenegro's coastline is beautiful. The old cities in both stops are unbeatable. Be prepared for a long ride, road construction as they build a new road. But enjoy Klodi's company for the long day.
Such a fabulous day trip from Tirana. Budva and Kotor are stunning. Endri was an excellent driver and guide, and a genuinely lovely person to spend time with. It was really interesting to chat with Endri about life in Albania and his own experiences. Endri also went out of his way to accommodate my requests. Based on my experience, I’d thoroughly recommend Endri as well as Choose Balkans as a company - they responded quickly and arrived promptly. A lovely lady from Choose Balkans came with Endri to welcome me which was a nice extra detail; I’m not sure if that was just because I was a solo female traveller but it was a very kind gesture.
We recently took a private day trip from Albania to Montenegro , and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My boyfriend and I loved every moment of it. A huge part of what made the trip so special was our driver and tour guide, Endri. He was incredibly helpful, informative, and professional, while also being friendly and great fun to spend the day with. He shared so much interesting knowledge about both Albania and Montenegro, which really added depth to the experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, he was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves at all times. We would highly recommend this tour company, and especially Endri as a guide. He truly made the day unforgettable!
