Highly recommend this self drive boat experience! Me and my partner said we will do this again when we’re next in Cyprus. So much freedom whilst out at sea, the boat is extremely easy to sail and the views all combine for a 10/10 experience.

Great activity to try if you always wanted to sail but don't have a valid licence. Most EU countries do not allow people to sail this type of boats without a valid "boat licence", while Cyprus do. It's great fun, the team is very friendly and helpful, the boat is easy to ail and it is 10x more enjoyable than paying €25 to get on a crowded boat with 100s of other people just to go play in a little creek alongside other boats carrying the same amount of passangers.

We received a very good explanation about the sailing area and operating the boat. Driving the boat was very easy. Reaching help during the boat trip was also very accessible and simple. We really enjoyed steering the boat ourselves, ultimate freedom! The Blue Lagoon was beautiful. Around half past ten it got busier, and we went to another, bright blue spot. With 4 hours on the boat, we could see everything, and also do several swimming stops. I would really recommend it to everyone! Much nicer than going on a big boat with many other people.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Day – 10/10! We had an absolutely amazing day with Latchi Watersports hiring a self-drive boat, and honestly, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were fantastic — friendly, helpful and really welcoming. The instructions before heading out were excellent and gave us complete confidence, especially as it was our first time hiring and driving a boat. We’re a family of five, and the boat was absolutely fantastic. It was great fun, comfortable for all of us and gave us the freedom to explore the coastline at our own pace. The different stops along the coast were incredible, with some amazing places to stop, swim and snorkel. The water was absolutely stunning! One thing that really stood out to us was the safety support. Even though you’re out enjoying the freedom of having your own boat, you’re never far away from help, with the Latchi safety boat constantly keeping an eye on everyone. It gave us a real sense of reassurance and allowed us to relax and enjoy the day. A special mention to Luke on the safety boat. When we reached the Blue Lagoon, it was extremely busy and we were a little unsure about anchoring, as it was our first time doing it. Luke came over to check everything was okay and personally talked us through exactly what to do, showing us how he would do it himself. That level of help and customer service was absolutely brilliant and really made a difference. The other thing that really impressed us was the value for money. For a family of five, we thought the boat hire was extremely reasonably priced and fantastic value for money considering the experience you get. It genuinely felt like we had a full day of adventure and fun without it costing the earth. The whole experience was 10/10 from start to finish. Fantastic staff, an amazing boat, beautiful coastline, brilliant safety support and excellent value for money. If you’re coming to Cyprus, self-drive boat hire with Latchi Watersports is an absolute must! The boat was really good and speedy. It was easy to use and i am a first time boat user too. All of the members who worked there were very clear and helpful.

We booked a self drive boat from latchi with latchi watersports . We’ve been to the blue lagoon before on a bigger organised trip . Nothing beats doing this self drive . The booking was so easy , it’s a little confusing about when the money will be paid ( it comes out your account before the booking and not at time of booking ) , however there are lots of emails telling you when the payment will be taken . The day itself was fabulous, latchi watersports look after you so well , the staff are brilliant and despite neither of us being actual Captains we needn’t have worried . You are safe , they are there and it’s a much more amazing experience than a big boat tour . I’m 46 menopausal and I’m gonna buy a speedboat !! Just hope latchi safety boat is near ! Parking is easy , there’s a car park 3 euro a day at end of harbour on left . You can cross over onto beach and swim there before your booking and then trundle round to be booked in . Book the self drive boat , it’s such good fun .

Unfortunately due to bad weather we couldn’t rent a boat which was a shame. This 5 star was for the hassle free payment return. They didn’t try to push another day on you. Choice was ours.

Top activity... an entire boat for the family alone and full freedom to sail where you want and also stop where you want. Good explanation... good guidance and always safe support nearby and also reasonably priced

Quick and simple booking process. A really friendly, professional and relaxed atmosphere when we arrived. Everything explained to us in detail about using the boat. Four hours was just enough time to do everything we wanted to do. A fun day out. Highly recommended.
