Det første monument, der ses på turen, er den største katolske kirke i Sarajevo, Jesu Hellige Hjertes katedral. Katedralen i Jesu Hellige Hjerte blev bygget i 1889 i nygotisk stil og er sæde for ærkebispedømmet Vrhbosna.
Inden for bymuseet i Sarajevo er museet for jøder i Bosnien-Hercegovina, beliggende i den ældste synagoge i Bosnien-Hercegovina.
"Sarajevos kulturmøde" er budskabet på Ferhadija St., nær Gazi Husrev Beys Bezistan. Dette er stedet, hvor to dominerende kulturer, der engang formede Sarajevo, smelter sammen.
Bygget i det 16. århundrede er det den største historiske moské i Bosnien-Hercegovina og en af de mest repræsentative osmanniske strukturer på Balkan.

Populær bro med Spite House tæt på. På grund af ejerens stædighed blev huset kendt som Spite House. I dag er det en populær national restaurant og et beskyttet kulturelt og historisk arv.
Kejserens moske er Sarajevos ældste moske og en af de ældste i Bosnien-Hercegovina. Det formodes, at Isa Bey Ishaković, grundlæggeren af Sarajevo, fik bygget dette sted for tilbedelse kort efter byens grundlæggelse i 1462 til ære for sultan Mehmed II "Erobreren".
Også kendt som Principov Most er et sted, hvor Gavrilo Princip, som kun var få meter væk fra denne bro, myrdede ærkehertug Franz Ferdinand og hans kone, Sofie. Denne hændelse, kendt som Sarajevo-mordet, førte til begyndelsen af Første Verdenskrig.
Gazi Husrev-begs bezistan (overdækket basar) er en af de bevarede bezistaner i Sarajevo fra den osmanniske periode. Bezistan blev bygget i 1555 i Baščaršija og tjener stadig sit formål - handel.
Taslihan blev bygget i 1543 som Ghazi Husrev-Beys waqf. Det havde et springvand, moske, gård, butikker og lagerrum. Det blev alvorligt beskadiget i flere brande, der ramte Sarajevo.
Hotel placeret i hjertet af Sarajevo-byen, kun få skridt fra turisternes gamle bykerne, vil denne østrig-ungarske bygning med sin ydre pragt alene få dig til at betage.
Theotokos' Fødselskirke er den største serbisk-ortodokse kirke i Sarajevo og en af de største på Balkan.
TMonument til det ''Multietniske menneske', der fejrer multietnicitet, er placeret i centrum mellem tre store religiøse symboler - katolsk katedral, muslimsk moské og den kristne ortodokse kirke - kun få skridt væk fra hver. "Det multikulturelle menneske konstruerer verden", er udskåret på italiensk og bosnisk sprog.
En Sarajevo Rose er en type mindesmærke i Sarajevo lavet af beton ar forårsaget af en morterskals eksplosion, der senere blev fyldt med rød harpiks.

We had the chance to join the walking tour without booking in advance. We were at the square when we saw someone holding a Free Walking Tour umbrella, so we asked if we could join, and luckily we could! It was one of the best walking tours I have ever been on. Very interesting from start to finish. Our guide, Adnan, explained everything in such an easy and pleasant way that it was effortless to follow along. I didn’t get bored for a single moment. He also answered many of our questions and curiosities with patience and enthusiasm. Joining this tour was definitely a great choice. I’ve joined walking tours in other cities before, and honestly, some of them were disappointing because they didn’t reach the same level as this one. I highly recommend it!

We were fortunate to do this tour with the immensely erudite Adnan. Sarajevo is a city best experienced by walking and we covered the city’s history from the Ottomans to the Habsburgs and the siege of the 1990s. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting - we did it on our first day and it was very helpful for orienting ourselves.

Adnan (Ado) was our guide. He was the perfect tour guide - knowledgeable, educated, authoritative and very easy to listen to. My wife and I were the only two on the tour so we had the opportunity to pepper him with questions. He’s a very interesting man.

We had a great tour guide (Adnan) who spoke very good English. During the tour we learned a lot about the historical and cultural elements of the city: for example, something about copper craftsmanship, the roses in Sarajevo or famous poets and thinkers. It was a good and balanced mix of everything. My personal highlight was when we went to a "workshop"/shop for copper products and were able to watch the production there. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, young or old. We were picked up from our Airbnb promptly by the host and went on your eventful tour.
