This tour is awesome! We didn't see any ghosties, but we learned a ton about the history of The Presidio, and Santa Barbara as a whole! Allison was an awesome guide and we had a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn a bunch of cool history and maybe see a ghost or two!

Such a spooky night! I loved hearing all of the amazing history and ghosts that are in Santa Barbara! Our wonderful, knowledgeable and celebrity host Julie Brown did an awesome job and know her stuff. We really loved hearing about the surprisingly dark history of Santa Barbara! This was such a fun tour! It’s based in the old part of Downtown Santa Barbara. Allison was an awesome tour guide! She showed us different parts of SB and what they were back in the day. She was very knowledgeable about the buildings, the buildings’ history, and the spirits that still reside there! She was even familiar with the ghosts that come to visit as they please. She also recommended some great spiritual and paranormal books as well! I give the amazing Allison a 10 out of 10! And I will definitely be back to do their Wine & Ghost tour! 👻🌃🍾
Sarah, Allison my friend and the only person I trust to do this tours with the correct "spirit," volunteers to help me when I am unavailable and she is amazing. She knows all the stories of the "City of Friendly Ghosts" and will not share or create untrue "scary" stories (as they are none in the sacred area of our tour) to entertain...we are here to tell the history and mystery of our "heavenly visiting" people who are now in a different form than we are.
Really enjoyed learning about Santa Barbara’s history through the ghost stories shared. Visited beautiful parts of the city we would have never found otherwise and all around had an amazing time!!

Highly recommend this tour! Julie is well qualified to lead this tour. My husband and I had an enjoyable time learning about Santa Barbara history and hearing the local stories and eye witness accounts that Julie has worked hard to verify and curate. You’re in for a treat!

Julie provided a fun evening in Santa Barbara. She is very knowledgeable of the history of the area and incorporates it into her stories. Having gone on many ghost tours, we were very appreciative that Julie provided the story of what may have happened in a particular location without any expectation that we would or would not "see" anything. She is very articulate, kept our attention, and knew the detail behind the stories. We would highly recommend Julie's "The Veil is Lifted" tour.

If city exploring and meeting fun people is for you, then this is the tour for you! We learned history, explored the stories behind the friendly ghosts of Santa Barbara, and even heard ghost foot steps with our very own ears!
It was so much fun the night you and the other two guests attended the tour. Being present when you both heard the running of the ghost to catch up to us to hear their story be told was fabulous for me!
