Du vil absolut elske San José efter denne oplevelse. Guidet af unge biologer vil du opdage naturen, der gemmer sig midt i Costa Ricas største by. Du vil komme til at opleve med alle dine sanser, dyreliv, du ikke ville have forestillet dig eksisterede få minutter væk fra centrum. Vi er en organisation kaldet Oropopo Experience, der søger at ændre den måde, turisme foregår på i Costa Rica, samtidig med at vi støtter unge videnskabsmænd, forskere og lokale iværksættere. Ekstra Noter: ** Fra maj til november anbefaler vi at booke morgensloten, men eftermiddage er også gode. • Den eneste naturvandring i San Jose. • Udforsk en af de sidste grønne pletter inde i byen til fods med en lokal biolog. • Se, lugt, smag, rør ved og lyt til naturen. • Find farverige fugle, spiselige planter og en vild dovendyrpopulation på campus. • En procentdel af indtjeningen går til Funga Conservation, en non-profit fond. • Lille gruppe tur med max 10 personer sikrer en intim oplevelse

Vi besøger Campus ved University of Costa Rica, som rummer nogle af de største skovområder i San José Metro-området. På vores første stop vil vi lede efter fastboende og trækfugle, utrolige insekter og fantastiske planter og blomster. Vi taler om kunst, historie, oprindelig kultur og mest af alt natur. Derefter besøger vi hovedcampus, hvor vi vil lede efter dovendyr, der lever frit og forhåbentlig endda ser de to forskellige arter, der bor i vores land. ANSVARSFRASKRIVELSE: Dette er ikke et Recue Center eller Sloth Sactuary Tour. Du vil ikke være i stand til at røre ved dem, hvis de findes, vil dovendyrene blive set i deres naturlige habitat, hvilket betyder, at det meste af tiden vil sove på træerne. Alligevel er vores erfaring din bedste mulighed i San Jose, hvis du er en sand naturelsker. Dette er en 2,5 timers vandretur, nogle dele vil blive udsat for intenst sollys. Ikke en tung gåtur, men vær venlig at overveje din fysiske tilstand

This was a wonderful experience! Priscilla is an amazing nature guide and the forest on the university is beautiful! We learned so much about the local birds, insects and even saw three sloths! Priscilla patiently answered everyone's questions and set up her telescope at each stop so we could see the wildlife up close. I got wonderful photos with just my iPhone. We were able to see the wildlife much better on this tour than the wildlife sanctuary we visited the next day. We are planning a return trip to Costa Rica next year and plan to go on this tour again. Thank you Priscilla!
Such a great tour. Really really informative and friendly guide called Mary. We saw a great variety of animals. Including sloths and carpenter bees.
We had a few hours to spare in San Jose and were keen to see our first sloths. This trip didn’t disappoint. Rigo was excellent and he took us around the reserve in the university grounds. We saw both species of sloth, one mum had a baby. Highly recommended if you have a couple of hours to spare.
It was a marvelous window to the bioiversity of San José / University of Costa Rica. Our guide, Priscilla, was extremely patient, always helpful with enciclopedic knowledge, emotional about nature. We saw sloths, birds, insects, learned about plants and conservation. We ended at the Zoological Museum at UCR. I would do it again if I could.
Incredible experience with my family, my 8 and 6-year-old children enjoyed seeing the beautiful sloths =) 💜 learning about different insects and the vegetation, our guide Dariel explained everything in detail during the tour, his experience is evident, he was very kind. 100% recommended, we returned even more in love with the sloths💜😍

On our first day in Costa Rica rather than having a rest day we booked this tour and it was a great introduction. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were a bit uncertain about doing a nature tour in the centre of the city but we saw loads of things (including sloths!) and learnt a lot.

Our guide was very kind and took the time to explain everything to my group. He accommodated me even though I was late due to bad traffic. I learned a ton of things in a short period of time and got to see the sloths! Our guide used a telescope so we could view the sloth better! I highly recommend booking this tour!
Guide was excellent. A recent college grad. Get to walk the university of Costa Rica and see some nice urban green areas. Saw both types of sloth.
