San Jose Caves Guided Tour fra Valencia med lokal Vejleder

Beskrivelse

enjoyed this tour of the St. Joseph Caves led by Ferecoco. He was knowledgeable about the history, landscape and architecture of Valencia and various other localities we passed on the way to the caves. While this particular tour was promoted as English speaking (and Ferecoco did his part wonderfully) i would note; the guides on the boat are different as they are employees of St. Joseph and not all of them speak English. So, it is possible that you end up in a boat with a Spanish speaking guide that doesn't know English. You are also not permitted to take photos most of the time. There is an area toward the end where you can photograph/records though. Meeting place was easily identified and if I recall correctly; there was at least 3 options for pickups. I recommend this company, this guide, and St. Joseph's Caves. :). In fact. I am gonna cave and say it rocks ! Pun intended. :)
We had an excellent and wholesome experience at the Coves of San Josep. We traveled as a family of 4 (2 kids 16 and 7 years old). Our guide, Ferran was kind, entertaining and also seemingly in the possession of infinite knowledge about everything around Valencia and the coves. His English was also very good and - though English is not my native language - we could understand everything he said. The bus trip was also unexpectedly pleasant, as Ferran provided a continous guided tour of the city and landscape as we passed by, but the bus quality was also nice, with comfortable seats, reasonable legroom and a well working AC. The bus was almost full, but we did not feel crowded at all, neither during the trip, nor at the venue. The Coves are a miracle themselves, we absolutely loved the boat trip and also would love to come back one time, maybe even try the kayak trip. The remaining time was also enough to have a nice meal at one of the bars at the village, though I also commend the cleanliness and state of maintenance of the free facilities (there is a free lavatory building and a picnic site). Thank you once again!
Great tour with Guillermo. The underground caves felt great on a hot day. What a unique and special place. It is a must see in Valencia. Our guide was great about explaining things along the way and making recommendations.
The pickup was easy and at an easy to find location. The caves themselves were very worthwhile to see. A bonus is that the food places outside of the caves are quite fast so it was easy to have a couple of tapas and horchata before getting back on the bus.
Unique experience boating underground! It was a lovely cool 20 degrees so it was a nice break from the heat. Tour in the caves was only an hour long. Our guide was very very informative!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was one of the highlights of my time in Spain. From the moment we met, our guide made the entire experience feel effortless. He explained the itinerary so clearly that everyone knew exactly what to expect, making the day feel relaxed and well organized from start to finish. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. I highly recommend choosing the Torres de Serranos pickup location. The drive to the second pickup gives you extra time with the guide, and it’s absolutely worth it. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Valencia, its history, architecture, traditions, and the unique character of the surrounding towns. It added so much to the experience and made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Then we arrived at the cave… and I was completely blown away. The crystal-clear turquoise water looked almost unreal, and the ancient limestone formations, sculpted over thousands of years, were absolutely breathtaking. The stillness inside the cave, the reflections dancing across the water, and the incredible natural beauty made it feel like stepping into another world. It was one of the most unforgettable places I’ve ever seen. Before the tour, I had an authentic seafood paella, and it was the perfect way to start the day. Fresh, flavorful, and another reminder of why this region is so famous for its incredible food. If you’re visiting Valencia, don’t miss this tour. Between the amazing guide, the stunning cave, and the unforgettable experience, it’s worth every minute. Ps. Not for the claustrophobic.
Very good. We really enjoyed it. Thank you
Quick tour, worth the four hours if your in valencia, was a good afternoon, lots of bad reviews about ac on the bus, our bus was comfortable and the ac worked well, we all had two seats to ourselves, tour guide was helpful and spoke english well, thanks
I love underground caves, especially ones that have under rivers so when I was recommended this activity by a friend, I literally jumped at it & quickly booked myself on to it when I was still at the UK airport! Glad I did. The 1st part which was the bus ride to the caves & Tour guide giving info on historic landmarks we passed was ok. I took a few pictures & listened to the guide but admittedly after a while I started to zone out & fall asleep. I wasn't the only one too lol The caves themselves were good - heads up you'll spend quite a bit off time ducking your head as some of those cave ceilings are crazy low ( thankfully Tour guide had warned us in advance about this but even then it still surprises you!)
Ferran was great and very informative. Pick-up was right on time. The caves were also very good!
