Dress up as a samurai and have yourself photographed by a professional photographer. That was a great experience with lasting sentimental value. Above all, the selection among the many different suits of armor is remarkable. The photographer and his team also do excellent work. It starts with the explanation of the armor, continues with the assistance in putting on the armor, and ends with the great photos that you can take home with you.

This was a highlight of our trip to Japan. High energy staff, impressive armor (60 lbs!) and professional lighting. Hundreds of pictures emailed and on included sd cards!

I highly recommend this activity as where else in the world would you be able to dress up as a samurai. The host was extremely welcoming and made me feel so comfortable as he helped me put my armour on.He was full of energy and had a fantastic attitude which made all the difference in the enjoyment of this experience.You get a lot of photos taken as well to remember this unforgettable experience.
Very Fun experience with a great instructor, he is trying his best to get you the full experience and helping a lot with poses to help to make the pictuers look as real as possible!! When you are in Tokio, try it defintly out!! Thank you for the fun day and your kindness, extrem cool guy!
This was an incredible, fun experience! Takemura was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. His English was exceptional and we felt so comfortable with the photographer. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
I want to start off by saying that we didn’t have an appointment for the day we went and took a chance and visited the studio to see if they had any availability for the day since it was my husband’s birthday. Shimpei of Samurai Armor Photo Studio was so kind and was able to squeeze us into his schedule for the day. By doing so he made my husband’s dream come true. From the moment you arrive the Samurai experience begins and historical topics are discussed and you select your own samurai armor. Shimpei comes from generations of samurai and is with honor and respect introduced us to the history of the samurai and the honor that it is to wear the armor. My husband turned into a little child as his dream came true as he was being dressed into the Samurai Armor by an expert in Tokyo. The experience was truly amazing for my husband to experience and for me to see. They took approximately 200 photos of my husband throughout his transformation. This is a something that anyone who loves Japanese culture and history should do. Thank you for an amazing experience, for your hospitality and high energy throughout the experience. We felt truly blessed to have had this opportunity.
