Vores oplevelsesguide vil møde dig lige foran Mozart-statuen på Mozart-pladsen. Et perfekt sted at begynde at tale om begyndelsen af Salzburg og den berømte musiker W.A.Mozart.
Fortsæt turen til Residenzplatz. Arkitekturen ændrer sig lige pludselig. De små gader og butikkerne er erstattet med store rummelige pladser, et stort Residence springvand i midten af pladsen, den gamle Residenz og den nye Residenz bygninger. De fleste bygninger rummer dyrebare skatte og kunst fra Salzburgs historie, som bestemt er værd at besøge.
Tag et kig ind i Salzburg Dom og find mange fresker, altre og orgler. Krypten rummer mange grave fra de tidligere prins-ærkebiskopper og endda moderne kunst i en apsis fra det 12. århundrede. På vej ud finder du dåben, hvor W.A.Mozart blev døbt.
Gå en tur langs shoppinggaden. Find smukke smedejernsskilte, kunst- og kunsthåndværksbutikker mellem kendte mærkevarer langs den smalle gade. Forkæl dig selv med en shoppingtur i Getreidegasse efter turen.
Mozarts fødested ligger lige i centrum af Getreidegasse. De fleste stopper foran det store gule hus eller vælger at besøge Museet. Lyt til fakta om Mozart-familien, deres liv og karriere, deres tro og deres arv.
Et af de sjoveste steder i Salzburg er Farmers Market på universitetspladsen. Denne store, barokke kirke danner en imponerende kulisse for madboderne. Tøv ikke med at prøve den lokale ost, pølser, frugter og kringler med nogle lokale øl eller ferskvand.
Den gamle markedsplads er omgivet af butikker og berømte kaffehuse. Dette er et sted at nyde resten af dagen efter turen med en kop god kaffe og frisklavet æblestrudel.
I slutningen af turen tag kabelbanen til toppen af fæstningen Hohensalzburg og nyd udsigten til Salzburg. Fra denne over 900 år gamle fæstning kan du endda se de nordlige kalkstensalper, og på en meget klar dag kan du se Eagles Nest i det fjerne. Our family group of 7 (ages 10-65) only had 1 day in Salzburg Old Town. Our 3 hour private guided tour with Elizabeth could not have been more perfect. We hit the major sites on both sides of the river, and she was able to satisfy my desire for historical information while also keeping the children engaged. They were particularly excited to see the Sound of Music scenes, and we even had time to ascend to the fortress where we had a nice lunch. I would highly recommend this tour!

Wouldn’t recommend this tour. It was the most expensive tour on our trip and a waste of money. There was no excitement from our guide and we felt the whole tour to be a little down. Most of the places we got taken too where not open. I get that it was a public holiday but there was no discount on the price for this tour given the fact you missed out on a lot. And the fact that the tour guide also didn’t no they where closed doesn’t say much for the knowledge of what’s going on in the area. Up in the castle that had a once in a year advent on and instead of telling us what was going on all we heard about was for the third time what the roof tops where down bellow. We choose to cut our tour short and do it on our own which we seen more that way.

Sincere apologies for the lack of clear communication regarding the closures of several locations. Even on a public holiday, the guide should have offered alternative highlights. We are also sorry that the guiding felt low in energy and repetitive, and that the special event at the castle was not properly explained. That should have been an exciting moment for you. Salzburg is wonderful and I think the tour was very well planned. The big issue was, that the guide we had, spoke VERY VERY quietly the entire day. We had a private group of 8 - only the person walking next to him could hear anything he had to say almost the entire day. The rest of us were left without any of the information that makes the places visited actually very interesting. He was extremely nice and personable, just extremely quiet
