Beskrivelse
Dette er et praktisk madlavningskursus med fokus på tilberedning af fem forskellige saucer, designet til at finde sted i et markedsmiljø. Aktiviteten begynder med en guidet tur på markedet, hvor deltagerne udvælger friske, sæsonbestemte ingredienser og lærer at genkende deres kvalitet, oprindelse og kulinariske anvendelse. Senere, i arbejdsområdet, guider en kok eller facilitator deltagerne trin for trin i tilberedningen af saucerne og deler grundlæggende teknikker, smagskombinationer og kontekst om de mexicanske kulinariske traditioner, der er forbundet med hver opskrift. Aktiviteten afsluttes med en smagning af de tilberedte saucer, hvor der opmuntres til samtale, udveksling af viden og påskønnelse af deltagernes arbejde.

This class was AWESOME! My favorite activity in Oaxaca. Guides are super friendly and knowledgeable. My husband does not cook and is not the least bit interested in learning and he had a great time!
Wendy was an excellent host and cooking guide. She was enthusiastic and very competent in showing us how to roast, chop, and hand grind the chiles, nuts and seeds that we used in the 5 salsas. She showed us how to make home-made tortillas from the masa we bought at the market. And we used local ingredients such as huitlacoche, epazote and zucchini flowers in our quesadillas (along with special local cheese). She shared the recipes with us at the end, after we enjoyed an excellent lunch. Wendy was very personable, and spoke both English and Spanish! We highly recommend this class.
We had a great morning - Pablo was a lovely guide. He and the rest of the crew were kind and helpful. We had a lovely trip to the market and then the salsa cooking. We learnt a lot!
Great class! It's a fantastic way to spend half a day getting hands on experience making 5 salsas. Each one was delicious!! Beautiful lunch setting afterward with the handmade tortillas, quesadillas, and memlas. The class was from 10:30 -2 with lunch. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend! First we shopped for local produce, then - hands on! we roasted some chilis, peanuts, sesame seeds, & tomatoes, sauteed pineapple, chopped and ground up the combined ingredients, making 5 very different salsas. We then made tortillas and quesadillas & had a lunch with our salsas, a refreshing drink and fresh fruit.
